The special relationship is content (the mind) and not form (the body), and in this lies its betrayal and trickery. The following incisive passage from the text highlights this aspect of the ego’s plot against God and His Love. It points to formal religions, is more specifically aimed at Christianity, and even more specifically targets a very ritualized Catholicism:

The special relationship is a ritual of form, aimed at raising the form to take the place of God at the expense of content. There is no meaning in the form, and there will never be.… [It is] the sign that form has triumphed over content, and love has lost its meaning (T-16. V.12:2-4). From:

I got an email today concerning what’s happening in Quebec over religious symbols. And then I read the above article. And then I felt peace. And then I remembered the name of White’s book “Father, Forgive”.

There’s a great line I’ll paraphrase “People—not only students of

A Course in Miracles—but all people need to be educated to hear the

meaning behind words used in prayer.”

Are YOU choosing the ATONEMENT (at-ONE-ment), right minded thing 

or 

are YOU choosing separation, wrong minded thinking.
