Illusion
It is not I doing anything, but I am fixed in the Moment,
fixed in the Now, watching my form as on a movie screen as it goes and comes
and I direct the whole thing from my extreme vantage point. There is a peace
and harmony that comes as part and parcel of the joining. This harmony will
come in all things and bring everything together into Oneness. This is trusting
God! This total and complete surrender is a forgetting in regard to separation,
because in Truth, there is none! The glove now takes the form of the Hand, and
cannot ever be separated from It. It was always this way, but in the dark it
was ‘thought’ to be a separate entity. GOD in a Box

The Four (4) Questions of Cartesian Logic and Cognitive Dissonance.
Cognitive Dissonance. is a psychological phenomenon which refers to the
discomfort felt at a discrepancy between what you already know or believe, and
new information or interpretation.
One often experiences strong dissonance when one believes something about oneself and then behaves in a way that is contrary to that belief. For example, if I believe I am good but do something bad, then the discomfort I feel as a result is cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is a very powerful motivator which will often lead people to change one or other of the conflicting attitude/belief or behavior. The discomfort often feels like a tension between the two opposing thoughts.

Once you see a belief as a belief and not the truth it is already beginning to lose its grip on you.
When I first began
to mesmerize and as I became interested in the experiments, I found that the
subject could see through matter. I could not help believing this and it showed me that matter could be seen through by a
clairvoyant; so it became not an opinion but a truth to me. I also found that
all that man's senses embraced could be seen and felt by a
person whose bodily senses were dead, if we judged by the body. All this became
a wisdom, not a belief, but a part of my identity. So
what is a belief to the world concerning these things was to me a truth.
My next aim was to become a clairvoyant myself, and as I became convinced
that matter was only a medium for our wisdom to act through, I could see how it
could be transformed and the senses or clairvoyant state be attached to any idea the natural man might think of. The two kinds of reasoning
make up the natural man. Both modes of reasoning can be carried into the
clairvoyant state for this does not embrace reason. Spiritualism:

The
good news about beliefs is that they are not permanent. Once you see a belief
as a belief and not the truth it is already beginning to lose its grip on you.

You are the creator not the creation.
I have
beliefs, I am not my beliefs.
I have thoughts, I am not my thoughts.
I have feelings, I am not my feelings.
I do things, I am not my actions.
I am the consciousness that creates and then observes my beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and actions.
I have thoughts, I am not my thoughts.
I have feelings, I am not my feelings.
I do things, I am not my actions.
I am the consciousness that creates and then observes my beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Beliefs are the meaning we give (usually) to a series of events.
Beliefs are broad generalizations, for example, I am …. People are …. Life is
….
Whatever situation you find
yourself in now is the effect and YOUR beliefs were the cause. Quimby would have liked Morty Lefkoe’s work.
As ACIM teaches:
You are the DREAMER not the dream. “ As the course also teaches:“I am willing
to see _________ differently.” The willingness to change your perception and
instead of choosing the ego as your teacher you come more in alignment with the
Holy Spirit.
There
are three ways to “know” something:
1.
First,
by understanding it. This is conceptual and involves language and explanation.
You can understand that you create your life when someone explains it to you or
when you read about it.
2.
Second,
by experiencing it. You know you are the creator of your life in a totally
different way when you experience it.
3.
Third,
by bringing something into existence by creating/distinguishing it. When you
distinguish yourself as the creator of your life as distinct from the creation,
you know you are the creator of your life in this third way, which cannot even
be described.
I create my Beliefs.
My beliefs determine what I do and feel.
Therefore, I create my life and I can change it.
My beliefs determine what I do and feel.
Therefore, I create my life and I can change it.
You are not your beliefs,
you are the creator of your beliefs.
You are not your life,
you are the creator of your life.
you are the creator of your beliefs.
You are not your life,
you are the creator of your life.
You
must distinguish yourself as the creator instead of the creation you thought
you were.
And
when you make it real for yourself that who you really are is consciousness,
you will no longer be at the mercy of the effect of the cause, which is whatever has been upsetting you.
you will no longer be at the mercy of the effect of the cause, which is whatever has been upsetting you.

Why you don’t need to forgive anyone
In order to forgive you need to have been wronged. If events have no meaning, wrong exists only in your mind—it is a meaning you give to the other person’s behavior. No meaning, no wrong. No wrong, nothing to forgive.
(I’m sure that some readers will think of situations that must have inherent meaning. See two earlier blog posts that delve deeper into what I mean by events have no meaning and some of the implications of that fact. http://www.mortylefkoe.com/why-create-meaning/#, http://www.mortylefkoe.com/real-meaning/#)
By the way, just as you don’t
need to forgive others because they didn’t do anything “wrong,” so too you also don’t need to forgive yourself for
anything because you’ve never done anything that needs forgiveness.
Dissolve the meaning that seems to make forgiveness necessary and there will be
nothing left to forgive.

Energy Vampires
This is a belief. No one can drain YOUR energy. Only YOU can only give away YOUR power to someone. And that power was/is always within. That would be the hidden knowledge Gnostic's alluded to. New Age alludes to something entirely different. Lucky Horseshoes, lucky Rabbits foot and anything external to YOU only have power if you let them (believe in them). And then they are only external symbols of an internal condition or belief. In the “Gospel of John” it was written “the Father within does all the work”.
Reclaim YOUR power,
change YOUR mind,
change YOUR life.
change YOUR mind,
change YOUR life.
