A Call For Love

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby was the greatest healer America has ever known. He was clairvoyant, and he would read the contents of the mind of an individual, tell him the cause of his sickness. At least over 60 percent of the people who came to Quimby were sick because of false religious beliefs. He attributed this guilt, fear, and things of that nature engendered by the church.

THOUGHT CONTROL

My “Consciousness” is My “Mental Traffic Cop.”
It constantly regulates the outward, and in-coming THOUGHT TRAFFIC in me.
THE SUB-CONSCIOUS REALM is the marvellous Store House; the Garden of my SOUL (Eden.) Whatever is stored, planted and preserved therein – by immutable DIVINE LAW in action – LIVES to out-picture, or express itself in my soul, body and affairs. Be it constructive or destructive, of Love or of bad.
THE SUB-CONSCIOUS NEVER DISOBEYS ORDERS -

Go Up The Ladder

'Yet not I, but Christ,' must always be the attitude of the healer or rather,
the channel or instrument of healing.

Henry Thomas Hamblin

"Love is the key to every situation in life."

"To learn this course requires willingness to question every value that you hold. Not one can be kept hidden and obscure but it will jeopardize your learning. No belief is neutral. Every one (every belief) has the power to dictate each decision you make. For a decision is a conclusion based on everything that you believe. It is the outcome of belief, and follows it as surely as does suffering follow guilt and freedom sinlessness" (T-24.in.2:1-6).
What is this "little willingness"?

Change water into wine!

Let this be your daily prayer; write it in your heart: “God is the source of my supply. That supply is my supply now. His riches flow to me freely, copiously, and abundantly. I am forever conscious of my true worth. I give of my talents freely, and I am wonderfully, divinely compensated. Thank you, Father!” Murphy, Joseph. How to Attract Money (p. 33). GENERAL PRESS.

THE MEANING OF ABSENT TREATMENT

The most effective method of healing or influencing the behavior of others consists in what is known as “the silent or absent treatment”.
When the subject is unaware, objectively, of the suggestion given him there is no possibility of him setting up an antagonistic belief. It is not necessary that the patient know, objectively, that anything is being done for him.
From what is known of the subjective and objective processes of reasoning, it is better that he should not know objectively of that which is being done for him. The more completely the objective mind is kept in ignorance of the suggestion, the better will the subjective mind perform its functions. The subject subconsciously accepts the suggestion and thinks he originates it, proving the truth of Spinoza’s dictum that we know not the causes that determine our actions.

RESURRECTION

NEVILLE GODDARD

The process of all healing is a definite, positive, mental attitude, an inner attitude, or a way of thinking, called faith. Healing is due to a confident expectancy, which acts as a powerful suggestion to the subconscious mind releasing its healing potency.

Meditation Molds Your Future

You are what you meditate on all day long. The late Dr. David Seabury, who specialized in Quimby’s techniques, told me that while he was practicing in New York City, a man had asked him to come and see his wife, who was paralyzed due to an emotional shock. Dr. Seabury called it psychological paralysis. He gave her a technique to practice. She was to vividly imagine herself doing all the things she would do were she whole and perfect, such as driving her car, riding a horse, golfing and working around the house.

Let Love Prosper You!

This day, (show actual date), I cease believing in visible money as my supply and my support, and I view my current world of effect as it truly is... simply an out picturing of my former beliefs. I believed in the power of money, therefore I surrendered my God-given power and authority to an objectified belief. I believed in the possibility of lack, thus causing a separation in consciousness from the Source of my supply. I believed in mortal man and carnal conditions, and through this faith gave man and conditions power over me. I believed in the mortal illusion created by the collective consciousness of error thoughts, and in doing so, I have limited the Unlimited. No more! This day I renounce my so-called human hood and claim my divine inheritance as a Being of God. This day I acknowledge God as my supply and my support.

Healing Methods: Argumentive, Absolute and By Decree

“… Phineas Parkhurst Quimby tried to explain all illness as linked to mind. He applied a therapy that purported to heal the body by altering the state of mind of the sufferer. He believed he as was flowing the practices of Jesus Christ.”

Who am I, really? What world do I belong to?

"Recall unhappy events in your life, then remember that a new self will prevent their repetition." ~ Vernon Howard

The more criticism, the more lack and limitation YOU experience.
The more appreciation, the more abundance YOU experience.
Gratitude multiplies the good!
Being in the flow is yummy and fulfilling. God has not changed, life has not changed. I AM in the flow when I AM working for the good of all, when I AM seeing all as one. In Truth there’s nothing to resist so I AM is giving up my resistance.  (The flow of the Infinite Current as Prentice Mulford called it)

Love Has Forgiven Me.

Is it necessary to be at the mercy of painful moods and feelings? It is not.
Is there a practical plan for escaping from attacks of depression, dismay, nervousness
? There is.
Vernon Howard

God’s Love is the basis of forgiveness. Fear condemns and love forgives. Forgiveness thus undoes what fear has produced, returning the mind to the awareness of God. For this reason, forgiveness can truly be called salvation. It is the means by which illusions disappear. “God is the Love in which I forgive you, [insert name]” put’s you in a position to forgive yourself. When you become aware of any kind of negative reaction to anyone, present or not, tell them silently: “God is the Love in which I forgive you.God does not forgive because He has never condemned. And there must be condemnation before forgiveness is necessary. Forgiveness is the great need of this world, but that is because it is a world of illusions. Those who forgive are thus releasing themselves from illusions, while those who withhold forgiveness are binding themselves to them. As you condemn only yourself, so do you forgive only yourself. Lesson 46

One good healing in a Center brings more converts then a hundred sermons.

New Thought Centers have been most successful when the teachings has been kept strictly on the Christ lines, extraneous subjects being excluded, and where, in consequence, good healing work has been done. One good healing in a Center brings more converts then a hundred sermons. ~Emmet Fox

Of the body, not in the body.

“Prayer that craves a particular commodity, -- anything less than all good, -- is vicious. Prayer is the contemplation of the facts of life from the highest point of view. It is the soliloquy of a beholding and jubilant soul. It is the spirit of God pronouncing his works good. But prayer as a means to effect a private end is meanness and theft. It supposes dualism and not unity in nature and consciousness. As soon as the man is at one with God, he will not beg. He will then see prayer in all action. The prayer of the farmer kneeling in his field to weed it, the prayer of the rower kneeling with the stroke of his oar, are true prayers heard throughout nature, though for cheap ends.”  ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

YOU are in Heaven right now as you read this.
Wherever the Life, which is your True Being takes you, all will be well. And then there will come a time when you realize it is not I going anywhere. It is not I doing anything, but I am fixed in the Moment, fixed in the Now, watching my form as on a movie screen as it goes and comes and I direct the whole thing from my extreme vantage point. There is a peace and harmony that comes as part and parcel of the joining. This harmony will come in all things and bring everything together into Oneness. This is trusting God! This total and complete surrender is a forgetting in regard to separation, because in Truth, there is none!
You will think less in theory, more in Reality, until the balance tips and you will realize that you are speaking from a place of knowing and confidence, that there is ONE living out through a body/form, and you are IT, and IT is You.
“God in a Box” ~ Jane Woodward

It occurred to me this week that chi, prana,  grids, strings and strands, primordial substance, subtle energy, ectoplasm are merely ego terms to relate how everyone in the world is connected. We a re spirit, all is mind. We can’t conceptualize being without the body so we relate it to what ever makes sense in our personal experience. Our own personal rules of engagement, so to speak. Did Hopkins, Cramer, Brooks and Fillmore even know what Chi was I wonder?

Of the body, not in the body: I’ve talked to people and suddenly been aware I was of the body, not in the body. No judgement, no emotion, just being. If it wears off it’s a lesson in judgement, trust or faith. Actually I don’t know for sure. There’s no guide book on God so it’s highly individualized.

Accepting people where they are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcdodajwm6I This I liked. Would I change anything of my past? No. And I wouldn’t necessarily recommend some of the experiences. If friends don’t like what you read, well like the song says:
Lost the friends that I needed loosing
Found others on the way.
And as always, “Be still, and know I am God”.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." - Hebrews 11:1
You don’t have to rescue anyone, change anyone or heal anyone!

John 7:33/34
"Yet a little while am I with you and then I go unto him that sent me. Ye shall seek me and shall not find me and where I am, thither ye cannot come."

"Yet a little while I am with you, and then I go unto him that sent me."
"Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me,"

means that others may wonder what you are doing and be unable to follow you in understanding or belief.
"And where I am, thither ye cannot come."
Other members of your family, or the patient himself, may be unable to rise in consciousness and enter into the feeling of perfect health, because they are wrapped up in worldly beliefs.

ForgetMeNot.

The phrase "I will forgive but never forget" is a well-known one and is used by many groups and people. It is typically what the world thinks of as forgiveness: yes, you have done something terrible, unconscionable, and sinful, and I do forgive you, but I will not forget. One of the rationalizations for that position is that if I forget and if the world forgets what you did, then we can end up in the same boat again.
. . .
" A Course in Miracles is quite clear about why that does not work. . . . If you accuse someone of sin, whether you are doing it on a global scale or a personal scale, and then you adopt the position, "I will forgive but I will never forget," you are accusing them of a sin because you do not want to see that sin in yourself.
. . .
"I am a wonderful, sincere, faithful Christian; therefore, I forgive you for what you have done, but you have done it." There is no way you can take that position without looking down on the person you are so-called forgiving.
. . .
Love does not judge, condemn, make comparisons, or see sin. Therefore, if you see sin, if you accuse anyone of anything on any level, it must be because in the instant you are making that misperception, you have pushed love away in your mind. Whenever we push love away, as we all did right at the beginning when as one Son we pushed God's Love away, we must feel guilty. Must. (From http://www.facim.org/excerpts/s13series.htm)
. . .
The world of linear time—past, present, and future—is one of the frameworks of our physical universe, and it is certainly one of the frameworks of our experience here. We all have a past, we all experience ourselves in the present, and we all anticipate a future, both as individuals and as members of races, various groups, and species. But linear time is a projection of what we usually refer to as the ego's unholy trinity, which is a constellation of the thoughts of sin, guilt, and fear in the mind that preceded the physical universe. They are the foundations of what A Course in Miracles refers to as the wrong (wRONG) mind: the part of the split mind that is the home of the ego, which is the home of the thought system of separation. (http://www.facim.org/excerpts/s13e2.htm)
Every special relationship you have made has, as its fundamental purpose, the aim of occupying your mind so completely that you will not hear the call of truth. (T-17.IV.3:3–4:3)

Foundation for A COURSE IN MIRACLES excerpted material here
Foundation for A COURSE IN MIRACLES Web site here
Herein of course lies the problem. I do not want to remember the Father, because if I remember the Father I will remember His Son. And I will remember that His Son is totally at one with his Father, which means the separation never happened, which means I never happened. I do not like that. And if peace is the only way that I can remember God—as the later section says, "The memory of God comes to the quiet mind" (T-23.I.1:1)—then I sure as heck will not be peaceful and will not be quiet.

How to Know When You Have Truth? That's easy. If you have been healed, whether of physical afflictions or mental disturbance or domestic in harmony or business perplexities, or worry, doubt, fear or anything, all is well. [How To Put The Subconscious Mind To Work By David V Bush (1924)]

God's universe is to every man exactly what his mind sees it to be. If the mind be free, and light, and joyous, the world is ablaze with sunlight, joy, and happiness, even though in appearance it be the darkest day of all the year. But if sorrow and despair have found lodgment there the world's delights and grand activities are huge mountains of dreariness in which is no fascination at all, but intense weariness instead. [How To Put The Subconscious Mind To Work By David V Bush (1924)]

Mind doesn’t die after death but lives on.

Frederic William Henry Myers (1843–1901) was a classical scholar, poet, philosopher, and past president of the Society for Psychical Research.

Frederic William Henry Myers was the son of Rev. Frederic Myers and brother of poet Ernest Myers. He was educated at Cheltenham College, and Trinity College, Cambridge where he received a B.A. in 1865. In 1867, Myers published a long poem, St Paul, which became very popular. It was followed in 1882 by The Renewal of Youth and Other Poems. He also wrote books of literary criticism, in particular Wordsworth (1881) and Essays, Classical and Modern (in two volumes, 1883), which included a highly-regarded essay on Virgil.

In 1893 Myers wrote a small collection of essays, Science and a Future Life.
In 1900 Frederic William Henry Myers was president of the Society for Psychical Research.
In 1903, after Myers's death, Human Personality and Its Survival of Bodily Death was compiled and published. It was two large volumes at 1,360 pages in length, which presented an overview of Myers's research into the unconscious mind. Myers believed that a theory of consciousness must be part of a unified model of mind, which derive from the full range of human experience, including not only normal psychological phenomena but also the wide variety of abnormal and "supernormal" phenomena.
Frederic Myers may be regarded as an "important early depth psychologist", and his significant influence on colleagues like William James, Pierre Janet, and Théodore Flournoy and also Carl G. Jung has been well documented.
In Myers’ scheme, the supraliminal was our everyday waking consciousness, while everything which was subliminal – “below the border” – was unknown, part from sudden ruptures and irrationalities.
He also proposed the theory the mind doesn’t die after death but lives on.
Scholars have understood William James’s unattributed reference to a discovery made in 1886, which he described as “

the most important step forward in psychology since [he had] been a student of that science
,” as a reference to the British psychical researcher Frederic Myers.
“Frederic Myers will always be remembered in psychology as the pioneer who staked out a vast tract of mental wilderness and planted the flag of genuine science upon it.” ~ William James

Frederick Myers dimensions of existence
1. Stage one is, of course, the Earth realm. As soon as the Earth experience has been thoroughly comprehended – either through reincarnation, or through the exchange of experience with others on other realms – the candidate may proceed to realms beyond the reach of the Earth mind. After death a person enters Stage two, the Intermediate Realm.
2. Upon death, most people go through a heavenly process before entering into heaven. Evil people, instead of experiencing the tunnel and bright light upon death, are sent through what Sylvia calls the “Left Door” and enter into an abyss of empty, joyless, nothingness for a brief period of time. After they have reflected upon their actions, they are reincarnated back to Earth. People who commit suicide are sent to a place Sylvia calls the “Holding Place.” Here they must make a choice to either proceed through the “Left Door” or embrace God and move on to the Light.
3. After Stage two, a person enters a more stable world called “the realm of illusion”, Stage three. This is a dimension where things may be created with the mind and shaped by the direct action of the imagination. Though a person may linger in this stage for generations, an eventual decision must be made. The individual either returns to Earth or progresses to Stage four.
4. Stage four, an indescribably lovely existence, is called “the realm of color.” Here one must leave behind all rigid intellectual structures and dogmas, be they scientific, religious, or philosophical. An infinite variety of new sounds, colors and feelings are experienced here and souls find a much wider freedom to function with more highly energized intellect and spirit.
5. In the fifth realm, the “realm of flame,” one acquires a body of flame, enabling him to tour the stellar universe without being harmed by its temperatures and turbulence and to return with a fuller experience of these cosmic reaches.
6. The sixth realm is called by Myers, the “realm of light.” Individuals on this realm are matured spirits, having lived through, with conscious comprehension, all the aspects of the created universe. They are capable of living now without form, of existing as white light in the pure thought of the Creator. They have joined the immortals, thus fulfilling their final purpose of the evolution of consciousness.
7. The seventh stage, in which the soul enters full partnership with God, is beyond Myers’ verbal reach. Myers knew that the levels of consciousness in the upper ranges were beyond the insight of the average Earth dweller except for intuitive flashes. The seventh stage, which Myers called “timelessness,” is inhabited by souls with an advanced spiritual nature that is so close to the ultimate essence of creativity that no adequate vocabulary has yet evolved to describe them, and hence they are difficult to describe to Earth-level beings.
This is obviously EGO based. Evidently NDE’s may report seeing these various stages. But all is mind and we’ve created bodies within the dream of separation. So levels, dimensions or aspects of form are meaningless except to an ego that wants to maintain it’s existence.

In reality we are all dreaming; when man fully awakens he knows that planets are thoughts, suns and moons are thoughts, and his own consciousness is the space which sustains them all. He begins to realize that the whole world is a thought. For example, he becomes aware of the fact that the body is not real, but it is a thought or idea held in consciousness. The body has no life apart from consciousness. He realizes that there is absolutely no reality to matter or the body of man; it is a group of ideas and opinions. Man gives life to ideas and opinions as long as he believes them. When he disbelieves the errors, these ideas have no life in them. What has transpired is all a dream, a dream of the unreality.
"Therefore it is said Awake, O sleeper and rise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."
(Ephesians 5:14).

We are not separate and that is what each and every one of us is here to re-discover.
"Be still, and know that I am God"
You do that in the SILENCE.
Teach not that I died in vain. Teach rather that I did not die by demonstrating that I live in you. ACIM(T-11.VI.7:3-4)
So, the next time you're in your place of worship, or maybe just a large meeting room, and you notice the chair beside you is empty and a few seats in front of you are empty. If we've dreamed the dream before do you know for sure that the last time those seats were empty?
What If they were occupied but they woke up in that sequence of the dream.
What If the next time you dream this dream more seats are empty but you're still here.
What If the next time you're the only person there because you're still asleep?

What If?

Silent Treatment

The process known as "silent treatment" operates directly through the sub-consciousness[mind] of the patient, and the changes made disclose themselves in the mental atmosphere[mind]. The healer is thus able to see what his work is accomplishing and to perceive the forthcoming changes long before the patient becomes aware of them. An atmosphere or sphere can be discerned at a distance, also, and so the therapeutic process may be carried on absently. ~ THE OPEN VISION BY HORATIO W. DRESSER, Ph.D. [1920]

There seems to have been a pronounced demarcation from the early teachings of some of the New Thought teachers and churches when it comes to healing.

The Real Meaning of Reincarnation and Rebirth

By believing in the theory of reincarnation, or countless cycles of carnal rebirths, I believe you drift from safe mooring, and fall from spiritual grace.

You are the son, and you are always judging yourself by the concept and beliefs you entertain. You are always choosing thoughts; thereby passing judgment on yourself. God sees you perfect. The Perfect One cannot see imperfection. When man rises in consciousness to the point where he forgives himself and cleanses his mind and heart, the past is forgotten and remembered no more.

"
I AM" means Pure Being, Life, Awareness, Consciousness, or The Unconditioned One. Our "I AM-NESS" is God. "I am all things to all men." This Formless Awareness becomes that which man conceives It to be; this is the law of believing— the corner stone of life which the world rejects. When we read the word, "Verily, Verily," it means stop, look, and listen! To be born again means a spiritual rebirth—the birth of God in man.

Here is how you may enter the womb of God and be reborn: Get still and quiet by relaxing the mind and body. Detach yourself from the old way of thinking and form a new concept of yourself, a new estimate. Meditate on the reality of this new concept to the point of conviction. Imagine and feel the reality of the new ideal; live with it; envelop it in love; woo it; then the ideal will be resurrected in you, and you will become a changed man.

Spirit is a feeling, a mood, or animated state of consciousness. To be born of water and the spirit is, therefore, to begin to think in a new way; to get a new mental attitude, and to begin to feel the joy of the answered prayer within you.

The book "The Real Meaning of Reincarnation and Rebirth," by Joseph Murphy was originally published in 1954. There are thinking people of all religious faiths the world over that believe in the theory of Reincarnation and Karma, as these do seem to provide an acceptable answer to many of life's mysteries; however, as readers of this superb book will discover, there are other perfectly plausible explanations that account for what people consider to be past-life experiences, and also explain why people are born into this world with differing advantages, disadvantages, and handicaps.

Believe in Yourself.

Age is not the flight of years; it is really the dawn of wisdom and Divine knowledge in you. Imagination is the mighty instrument used by great scientists, artists, physicists, inventors, architects, and mystics. When the world said, "It is impossible. It can't be done," the man with imagination said, "It is done!" Through your imagination you can also penetrate the depths of reality, and reveal the secrets of nature.

Joseph (imagination) wears a coat of many colors. A coat in the Bible is a psychological covering. Your psychological garments are the mental attitudes, moods, and feelings you entertain. The coat of many colors represent the many facets of the diamond, or your capacity to clothe any idea in form. You can imagine your friend who is poor living in the lap of luxury. You can see his face light up with joy, see his expression change, and a broad smile cross his lips. You can hear him tell you what you want to hear. You can see him exactly as you wish to see him — i.e., he is radiant, happy, prosperous, and successful. Your imagination is the coat of many colors; it can clothe and objectify any idea or desire. You can imagine abundance where lack is; peace where discord is; health where sickness is.
