have deceived ourselves about its Incorruptible Nature and our relationship
with it other than by showing us -- in some unmistakable fashion -- the parts
of ourselves that imagine themselves as full of Light when -- in truth -- they
are but fleeting shadows seeking a moment's glory before the sun rises to
