John Nash was the subject of the Hollywood movie A Beautiful Mind. The film, loosely based on the biography of the same name, focuses on Nash's mathematical genius and struggle with paranoid schizophrenia. He saw and heard people that weren’t there. After many years of struggle, he eventually triumphed over his tragedy, and finally - late in life - received the Nobel Prize.

It looks like the 2012 hype is much ado about nothing.

Remember that events have no inherent meaning.

It is the meaning we give the event that governs our actions and feelings and hence are lives, not the actual event itself.
It also appears be strictly a North American event.

Dear God,

I am feeling anxious about 2012 because there are many people that are planning for disaster and/or devastation even though in my heart of hearts I know that it’s only the end of 395 year cycle. I surrender this to YOU and ask that YOU heal my mind of all fear, worry and doubt. While there are many fearful opinions, I will stand in the safety and certainty of YOUR love. I am secure because there is nothing outside of YOUR Divine plan for my happiness. In the awareness of YOUR love, there is nothing to fear. The phrase "I will forgive but never forget" is a well-known one and is used by many groups and people. It is typically what the world thinks of as forgiveness: yes, you have done something terrible, unconscionable, and sinful, and I do forgive you, but I will not forget. One of the rationalizations for that position is that if I forget and if the world forgets what you did, then we can end up in the same boat again.

Herein of course lies the problem. I do not want to remember the Father, because if I remember the Father I will remember His Son. And I will remember that His Son is totally at one with his Father, which means the separation never happened, which means I never happened. I do not like that. 2012 Beliefs and the Great unShift.

I still see stuff about Mayan and Hopi prophecies. The Mayan stuff about 2012 and the Mayan calendar ending have been demonstrated to be “much ado about nothing”.


Hopi Prophecies seem to an enigma. New Age stuff , rumours and innuendo, without any substance related to hard evidence, whether empirical or otherwise.

Names that pop up are Master Kuthumi and the White Brotherhood. New Age beliefs (routed in Theosophy?) People have turned away from organized religion and are looking for something outside of themselves when the REAL power is within and always has been.

Over the centuries, many people on their individual Spiritual paths have yearned for a Golden Age when their dreams of a well-functioning, harmonious, and mutually loving world would truly be present. Part of the appeal of these earth religions is that notion that we need to reconnect with the Earth in order to save ourselves. People hailed the coming of the dawning of the Golden Age in the late 1800’s. But nothing happened.

Are publishers courting readers who believe humanity is creating its own ecological disasters and desperately needs ancient indigenous wisdom? Maybe. Definitely some authors are promoting the idea. New Age is big bucks.

It’s a matter of turning within and discovering who you really are. The only thing that’s going to get in your way is your EGO. Because it’s going to kick and scream and have you look in the mirror and prove to yourself that you are a body, subject to aches, pains, dis-ease and disappointments. Rather than what you really are. Spirit, unaware that you’re safe at home but believing you’re separate from God. The EGO relates you to the name on your drivers license or birth certificate. It’s that identity it wants to hold onto.



Awake O sleeper and rise from the dead.



It’s an individual thing. YOU rise in consciousness and wake up. Then others around you may follow your example. Ultimately, it’s really a matter of choice. Insteaad of listening to the EGO you turn inside and listen to SPIRIT and start asking “What’s right?” Which voice? The wRONG-minded eGO or the Right-minded Spirit. To be inspired is “to be in spirit”. And slowly you peel away the layers and return to your CORE being.


I don’t foresee anyone vibrating off the planet or a star gate opening where people walk into another dimension.
I do see a lot of disappointed people in 2012. And a number of authors looking for work.



And I do see some people actually waking up.

By now, most people should know that on Dec. 21, 2012, the Mayan calendar will display the equivalent of a string of zeros, like the odometer turning over on your car, with the close of something like a millennium. In Maya calendrics, however, it's not the end of a thousand years. It's the end of Baktun 13. The Maya calendar was based on multiple cycles of time, and the baktun was one of them. Ascension
Francis Bacon is believed to have undergone a physical Ascension without experiencing death (he then became the deity St. Germain) by members of various Ascended Master Teachings, a group of New Age religions based on Theosophy. They also believe numerous others have undergone Ascension; they are called the Ascended Masters and are worshipped in this group of religions. The leaders of these religions claim to be able to receive channeled messages from the Ascended Masters, which they then relay to their followers.
Guy Ballard[5] , who founded I AM [6], the first Ascended Master Teachings[7] religion, claimed he could teach people how to ascend to heaven without having to die. He accumulated over 1,000,000 followers in the 1930s. However, he died a normal death in 1939. The I AM movement and people adherent to later Ascended Master Teachings religions such as Elizabeth Clare Prophet [8] then redefined ascension as dying normally, but claimed that certain special people, such as her own husband Mark Prophet [9], were able to ascend to a higher heaven than the average person after they died, becoming an “ascended master” and receiving worship. Planetary Alignments
In The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology, José Argüelles linked the 13-baktun period with an impalpable "beam" from the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. According to Argüelles, the Maya knew when we entered this beam and when we would leave it, and set their 13-baktun cycle to mark our passage through it accordingly. The beam, he asserted, operates as "invisible galactic life threads" that link people, the planet, the Sun, and the center of the Galaxy. Neither Maya tradition nor modern astronomy supports a belief in any such beam. He used the phrase "the principle of harmonic resonance." And concluded that the planets are "orbiting harmonic gyroscopes" that “play a role in the coordination of the beam," which advances the development of anything with DNA. The year 2012, therefore, will bring a rosy version of the apocalypse.

So, in 1987 Argüelles and his followers predicted Aug. 16–17 of that year would bring a Maya-Galactic "Harmonic Convergence." That event turned into a global phenomenon, with thousands gathering at Earth’s “acupuncture points” to create a "synchronized and unified bio-electromagnetic collective battery. Theory of Cognitive Dissonance

Leon Festinger (1919 – 1989), was an American social psychologist, responsible for the development of the Theory of Cognitive Dissonance, Social comparison theory, and the discovery of the role of propinquity in the formation of social ties as well as other contributions to the study of social networks. Festinger is perhaps best known for the Theory of Cognitive Dissonance, which suggests that inconsistency among beliefs and behaviors will cause an uncomfortable psychological tension. This will lead people to change their beliefs to fit their actual behavior, rather than the other way around, as popular wisdom may suggest.

Sects, cults and 2012

PARIS (Reuters) - The tiny southern French hamlet of Bugarach has drawn scrutiny from a government sect watchdog over droves of visitors who believe it is the only place in the world that will survive a 2012 Apocalypse.
A report by the watchdog, Miviludes, published on Wednesday said the picturesque village near Carcassonne should be monitored in the run-up to December 21, 2012, when many believe the world will end according to an ancient Mayan prophecy. Unfortunately New Age didn't ask the Mayans 1st, see past blogs below.
Miviludes was set up in 2002 to track the activity of sects, after a law passed the previous year made it an offence to abuse vulnerable people using heavy pressure techniques, meaning sects can be outlawed if there is evidence of fraud or abuse.
Surrounded in legend for centuries, Bugarach and its rocky outcrop, the Pic de Bugarach, have attracted an influx of New Age visitors in recent months, pushing up property prices but also raising the threat of financial scams and psychological manipulation, Miviludes said in its report.
Among the groups are the American Ramtha School of Enlightenment and the the Raelians.

The Apocrypha long predicted 1000 would be the year of Christ's earthly return and then destruction of the world. People went made pilgrimages, fled to safety and when nothing happened they went back home.

The Great Disappointment was reserved for the years 1843 and 1844, when Baptist preacher William Miller and his Millerite Movement wrongly prophesized three separate dates when Christ would return to earth and hellfire would consume us.

Halley's Comet in 1910 it passed so close that public warnings were issued by some of painfully suffocating global doom.

In 1919, American meteorologist Albert Porta announced that an upcoming conjunction of six planets would "cause a magnetic current that would pierce the sun, cause great explosions of flaming gas and eventually engulf the earth."

Edgar Whisenant had eighty-eight solid reasons why the Rapture would go down in 1988.

In 1997 pictures surfaced of Comet Halle-Bopp with a supposed secondary object lurking behind it. Some cults bought in.

Remember December 31, 1999 (aka Y2K). Nothing much ado about nothing.

What about June 6 2006 (The Number of the Beast). Although using numerology June 6 2004 was 6 6 6. Nothing happened.

May 21 2011. 6 PM came and went around the world, yet another prophecy failed to materialize. "The cold, hard reality is some believed, some gave away earthly belongings or drained their bank accounts, and it was false and they basically emptied out everything to follow a false teacher."

May 21st is probably a prelude of what to expect in 2012. People will start the Twitter's when nothing happens. People write books. Do they believe it? Is it true? In the 70's and 80's people wrote books as they do today. No one knew then that we'd be able to research things over the internet and connect the dots. No one knew then that we'd have the power of the internet, Facebook and Twitter to connect with other parts of the world. Nancy Tappe wrote of "Blue" people, "Purple" people and "Indigo" children in the 70's. Someone who writes a book channeled or from Angels on that topic does not legitimize it. Ascension , FofL and other books do not legitimize their respective topics. Use books only as a means to the end to find God as Emmet Fox wrote.

"The Indigo Evolution" was supposed to start a wave of Indigo across the planet a few years back. Luckily we get the story behind the story from Little Boy Blue:
