What Shall Make Us Whole?

 Marsilio Ficino (1433–1499) argued that there is an underlying unity to the world, the soul or love, which has a counterpart in the realm of ideas. Platonic Philosophy and Christian theology both embody this truth. Ficino was influenced by a variety of philosophers including Aristotelian Scholasticism and various pseudonymous and mystical writings. Ficino saw his thought as part of a long development of philosophical truth, of ancient pre-Platonic philosophers (including Zoroaster, Hermes Trismegistus, Orpheus, Aglaophemus and Pythagoras) who reached their peak in Plato. The Prisca theologia, or venerable and ancient theology, which embodied the truth and could be found in all ages, was a vitally important idea for Ficino.

Go Up The Ladder

'Yet not I, but Christ,' must always be the attitude of the healer or rather,
 the channel or instrument of healing.

Henry Thomas Hamblin

"Love is the key to every situation in life."

"To learn this course requires willingness to question every value that you hold. Not one can be kept hidden and obscure but it will jeopardize your learning. No belief is neutral. Every one (every belief) has the power to dictate each decision you make. For a decision is a conclusion based on everything that you believe. It is the outcome of belief, and follows it as surely as does suffering follow guilt and freedom sinlessness" (T-24.in.2:1-6).
What is this "little willingness"?

A Christmastide Musing

The ringing of Christmas chimes ushers in another joyful season, during which reciprocal love finds its most copious overflow. Every living principle has a rhythmical movement, for the law of action and reaction is universal. As we slowly wind up the spiral of human ascent it is, therefore, normal to find recurring pulsations of unusual strength. Like the floods of spring time, these accentuated hours represent the great periodic rise of human interest and affection, the mingled currents of which refresh and enrich human life and experience. There are brought to the front those diviner faculties in man, which in the ordinary stress of daily routine are latent, or at least comparatively inactive. The exuberant spirit of such a season is a temporary object lesson of a coming steady and continual state of consciousness toward which, through moral and spiritual evolution, the world is tending.

Outside of and beyond the inspired historic associations connected with this anniversary, it is especially profitable to observe it on account of the exercise it gives to a soul-force of the highest and divinest quality. The principle which dwells back of the innumerable Christmas activities, many of which may seem trivial and unworthy, is that which alone will finally assure the salvation of the world.

Christmas, 1915

What shall I say of this Christmas?
It will be long before we shall wish one another “A Merry Christmas” again!

As a Man Thinketh

Such is the Law

Worry is like a cat chasing its tail—it never gets anywhere and at last drops exhausted within the tiny circle it has trod.

“Such is the Law which moves to righteousness,
Which none at last can turn aside or stay;
The heart of it is Love, the end of it
Is peace and consummation sweet. Obey.” THE LIGHT OF ASIA.

To sympathize with others we must first understand them, and to understand them we must put away all personal preconceptions concerning them, and must see them as they are.

Remember the three great Laws.

There is a right and a wrong way of doing everything; there is a right and a wrong way of using the Creative Imagination. By visualizing and strong willing, the imagination can be used, or rather, misused in such a way as to produce results. But these have no permanence, and can bring no real harmony into being. Such results are a creation of the mind of separateness and because of this have no divine foundation; therefore, like the house built upon the sand, spoken of by Jesus, they fall into ruin, because they have no true foundation. Henry Thomas Hamblin ~ DIVINE ADJUSTMENT
So often when we focus on our dreams and desires our attention is on what's not working, what's missing and the fear that we will never get what we want. We may be repelling or stalling our desires without even realizing it.
Take a moment to reflect on your strongest unfulfilled desire. It probably is the one that has been lurking around for awhile, it may be related to weight loss, cash flow, relationships, etc. Now imagine your desire coming to fruition. What do you love about this fulfilled desire? Take some breaks throughout your day and allow yourself to bask in the glow of this desire. Marrying your desires with love rather than fear clears the path for your desires to manifest. http://www.receiveyourlife.com
I want you to start seriously to develop your visualizing powers.

Believe it.

Is in line with Morty Lefkoe’s work and Grace Bell’s (Work with Grace) work about changing beliefs.

Your difficulty is not contained, primarily, in the situation which gave rise to it, but in the mental state with which you regard that situation and which you bring to bear upon it. James Allen (1864 – 1912) ~ Byways to Blessedness[1904]

Instead of this ::
Believe this ::
I’m not worth it.
You are good enough as you are right now.
I’m not good enough.
You are worthy and deserving of good things.
I’m not loveable.
Imperfection is a beautiful thing. It makes life interesting.
There’s not enough time, money, energy.
You can start now. Yes, now.
I’ll never get out of this place.
Simply being alive, makes you loveable. Who you are is worth of love.
Life is too hard.
You are capable, you can handle anything that comes your way.
I’ll never be happy.
You can live your own life on your own terms.
I’m too {old, fat, young, uneducated}
If you are alive, you are creative.
I need to be perfect.
Beauty, education, and age do not necessarily relate to success.
I’m not creative enough.

I need to know everything before I start.

I have to please others.

Adoration of the Lord

"Love is the key to every situation in life." Henry Thomas Hamblin
The greatest acquisition of human life is Divine love. Divine love is the love for the Lord seated in the hearts of all beings and creatures. This love is attained by the devotee in the first place only through the realization of the Lord in his own heart. The Lord is the master of the worlds. He pervades the entire universe. He is the supreme ruler of all the planes and spheres of existence. Since He is everywhere and all, to behold Him in all beings and love them all, is the true adoration of the Lord. In this vision of love, the apparent good and evil have no significance. This love is based upon equality and a consciousness of universality. Divine love is absolutely pure and crystalline. It does not see distinctions, and so has no likes and dislikes. It flows from the heart of the devotee, and floods the world embracing and absorbing all alike, just as the light from the sun shines equally on all. It sheds its sweetness on all to the same degree. The devotee who has realized this exalted love is spontaneously blissful in all his activities, since these are permeated through and through with love! The real joy of the eternal is conceived in the womb of Divine love. Divine love expresses itself in cheerfulness, contentment, self-sacrifice, forgiveness, compassion, and peace.

Thoughts are things; they have tremendous power. Thoughts of doubt and fear are pathways to failure. When you conquer negative attitudes of doubt and fear you conquer failure. Thoughts crystallize into habit and habit solidifies into circumstances. ~ Bryan Adams @ http://www.bryanadams.com/

At certain times people give what is known as a 'tell' in poker -- a behavior which gives away the cards they're holding. Here is a tell that comes from hell -- negative certainty. It's one of the greatest contradictions. ~ Guy Finley

 Wiki’s Law of attraction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_attraction) misses the God and the Christ consciousness connection.

“THIS IS IT!”

"I have the God-given power to make up, to create in my mind whatever good I desire."
~ Rev. Ike
He who does not find
The way of Meditation cannot reach
Emancipation and enlightenment.
But thou wilt find the way of Holy Thought;
With mind made calm and steadfast, thou will see
The Permanent amid the mutable,
The Truth eternal in the things that change:
Thou wilt behold the Perfect Law: Cosmos
From Chaos rises when the conquered self
Lies underneath man’s heel: Love be thy strength;
Look on the passion-tortured multitudes,
And have compassion on them; know their pain
By thy long sorrow ended. Thou wilt come
To perfect peace, and so wilt bless the world,
Leading unto the High and Holy Way
The feet of them that seek.—And now I go
To my Abode; go thou unto thy work.

James Allen
