Be the Truth

If you contemplate the difference in "knowing the Truth" and "being the Truth" you will see the distinct advantage of this.
Subway Talk
Two women were arguing violently in a French Metro Station. A third woman approached and entered into the squabble. One of the first women moved away and took her train. Presently another woman came up and joined in. The second of the first group moved away and took her train leaving the two strange women arguing at blood heat.
Photobucket
The ones who had started it were far on their way while the others, the ones who had joined in, were hard at it, shaking their fists in each other's face.
Argument
"What is that to thee" is pretty good advice after all!
What?
If you are minding your own business you have plenty to mind - mind you!

"Ouch Sir" said the young sergeant who was being decorated by the Colonel before his regiment. The Colonel evidently didn't know how thin the jacket of the Sergeant was and the Sergeant had to be polite - what a terrible situation.
Just like the Metaphysician who is always holding a thought - the longer you hold it the worse the situation gets.
If you want it to work "let it go."
If you want a seed to grow, throw it away.
Your seed must change shape - and it can never accomplish this as long as you hold it - neither can a thought get into manifestation as long as you "hold" it.
"Ouch, Sir," I'm so sorry if it upsets your apple cart of antiquated metaphysics, hope there weren't many apples in it.

"Death is nothing but the end of an illusion."- Talbot Mundy[1]

[1] Talbot Mundy (born William Lancaster Gribbon) (1879 –1940) was an English writer. He also wrote under the pseudonym Walter Galt.
Mundy dabbled in various new faiths throughout his life. He had been raised by a strict Anglican family and after running away he abandoned the faith. He spent time in Jerusalem after the First World War as part of a community of Christian Scientists - the area would be the setting for his “Jim Grim” novels he would serialize in Adventure during this time.

In 1922 he met Katherine Tingley, the head of the Theosophical Society, which was based in Point Loma, California (its then head office is the current location of Point Loma Nazarene University). His fiction would incorporate Theosophical ideas while he was there, but he eventually separated from the organization.
Mundy’s novels were about practical, down-to-earth Westerners - British or American - transplanted into the East, who are forced to deal with mystical forces.

One must be.

In the creation of a new way of life, we must begin at the beginning, with our own individual regeneration. The formation of organizations, political bodies, religious bodies, social bodies is not enough. The trouble we see goes deeper than we perceive. The essential revolution must happen within ourselves. Everything depends on our attitude towards ourself – that which we will not affirm within ourself can never develop in our world. … "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" is the ancient formula and there is no other. Everything depends upon man’s attitude toward himself. That which he cannot or will not claim as true of himself can never evolve in his world. Man is constantly looking about his world and asking, "What’s to be done? What will happen?" when he should ask himself "Who am I? What is my concept of myself?" If we wish to see the world a finer, greater place, we must affirm the reality of a finer, greater being within ourselves. It is the ultimate purpose of my teaching to point the road to this consummation. I am trying to show you how the inner man must readjust himself – what must be the new premise of his life, in order that he may lose his soul on the level he now knows and find it again on the high level he seeks.

A "now" which is "elsewhere" has for us no absolute meaning. We only recognize "now" when it is at the same time "here." When we feel ourselves into the desired state "here" and "now" we have truly changed our future.

Discouraged people are sorely in need of the inspiration of great principles. We must get back to first principles if we are to speak with a voice that will kindle the imagination and rouse the spirit. Again, I must repeat, in the creation of a new way of life, we must begin at the very beginning with our own individual regeneration. Man’s chief delusion is his conviction that he can do anything. Everyone thinks he can do – everyone wants to do and all ask, "What to do?" What to do?
It is impossible to do anything.
One must be.
It is hard for us to accept the fact that "We, of ourselves, do nothing." It is especially difficult because it is the truth and the truth is always difficult for man to accept. But, actually, nobody can do anything.
Truth will strip the clever pretenders of their false aristocracy. Truth, in its turn, will be conquered and governed by the aristocracy of goodness, the only unconquerable thing in the world.
Imagining Creates Reality.
Dare to Assume.

Assumptions become facts.
Neville started speaking and teaching in the late 1930's with concepts like these.

TODAY is the TOMORROW you worried about YESTERDAY.

How many of our thoughts deal with past regrets or an uncertain future.
A multitude of advisors through the ages have told us to learn and live in the present, but few of us do.

In reality all thoughts take place in the present.
The past is looking back from the present.
Today’s yesterday.
Today’s thought, thought Today.
The future is the concern of what is unknowable.
Today’s tomorrow.
Today’s thought, thought Today.
We move from experience to experience, event to event.
Whether pleasant or unpleasant they can only occur in the present, the NOW.
In reality you live in the present moment, the NOW.
The past is dead except as memory revives it.
The future is a present thought, conceived and nurtured NOW.
We can never deal with the past or future except as thoughts, our concepts of them reflect our likes and dislikes.
Our pleasures or displeasures.
The mind bouncing back and forth like a ping-pong ball between yesterday and tomorrow robs the mind of the present.
And it gets hung up, incapable of forward motion.

It is never what happens to you but what you think happens to you.

This is the difference between happiness and misery, success and failure, health and illness.

This the great principle.
Today is the life of life.
Live one day at a time.
Learn to manage this hour, this minute.
You then redeem the past and ensure the future.
Ideas from “Take Off from Within” by Ervin Seale

Jesus spoke in parables to explain his teachings in everyday terms familiar to all the people. The laws of everyday living are explained by Dr. Seale through the parables. The basic, spiritual truths that form the cornerstone of the good life. Think well, banish negative ideas, encourage positive thoughts and then fear and defeats are gone.
