Joy

"When a bit of sunshine hits ye,
After passing of a cloud,
When a fir of laughter gits ye,
And ye'r spine is feelin' proud,
Don't forget to up and fling it,
At a soul that's feelin' blue, For the mini that yet sling it,
It's a boomerang to you."

We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind.
This Mind is the matrix of all matter."

Greater love ...

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” For if ever a man did lay down his life for others, that man was Phineas Parkhurst Quimby.

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby

The doctors take the bodily evidence as the disease. . . . disease is itself an impudent opinion.

He throws off the feelings of the sick and imparts to them his own which are perfect health, and his explanation destroys their feelings or disease. . . .

He is like a captain who knows his business and feels confident in a storm, and his confidence sustains the crew and ship when both would be lost if the captain should give way to his fears.

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby
This I do partly mentally and partly by talking till I correct the wrong impressions and establish the truth, and the truth is the cure. . . .
A sick man is like a criminal cast into prison for disobeying some law that man has set up.
I plead his case, and if I get the verdict, the criminal is set at liberty.
If I fail, I lose the case. His own judgment is his judge, his feelings are his evidence.
If my explanation is satisfactory to the judge, you will give me the verdict.
This ends the trial, and the patient is released.

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby
MY THEORY: the trouble is in the mind, for the body is only the house for the mind to dwell in . . . If your mind has been deceived by some invisible enemy into a belief, you have put it into the form of a disease, with or without your knowledge. By my theory or truth I come in contact with your enemy and restore you to health and happiness.

Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa were visiting their kids overnight.

When Grandpa found a bottle of Viagra in his son's medicine cabinet, he asked about using one of the pills.

The son said, "I don't think you shou ld take one Dad; they're very strong and very expensive."

"How much?" asked Grandpa.

"$10.00 a pill," Answered the son.

"I don't care," said Grandpa, "I'd still like to try one, and before we leave in the morning, I'll put the money under the pillow."

Later the next morning, the son found $110 under the pillow.

He called Grandpa and said, "I told you each pill was $10, not $110.

"I know," said Grandpa.

"The hundred is from Grandma!"

Prayer

The Law
Thou criest out that thou didst ask
And yet didst not receive,
And now thou sayest in thy heart
There is no law of good.
But hadst thou kept the law of good,
Or didst thou, asking, doubt?
Nay, nay, 'twas not the law that failed'
Twas thou who trustedst not.

Is law for Me alone to keep?
Nay, thou must do thy part.
Thou art to ask for naught but good
And asking, never doubt.
That is the law that thou must keep ---
Seek good, and e'er believe.
When thou hast kept this law of good,
Then ask; thou wilt receive.

Linda Buntyn Willie (circa 1915)

In prayer for a change in condition, physical, mental, or financial, for yourself or another, bear in mind that the fundamental necessity for the answer to prayer is the understanding of the scientific statement:

“Ask, believing you have already received,And you shall receive”
“Your Invisible Power” Genevieve Behrend , 1921

The Easter Bunny

The ministers wife was just leaving for church as the phone rang.
"Hello".
"Honey, I just killed the Easter Bunny.
He hopped out in front of the car and I hit him.
He's lying there motionless, what should I do?".

"Don't do anything, I'll be right there, where are you?".

Shortly the wife arrived at the scene.
"What am I going to do?
I've killed the Easter Bunny. All those poor children.".

"Leave it to me.".

She walks over to the Easter Bunny,

opens her purse,

takes out a can and

sprays the Easter Bunny.

Suddenly, up jumps the Easter Bunny, he picks up his Easter Basket and hops away.

"Honey, that's great. What was that you spayed?".

"Hare restorer".

Groucho Marx

Ever notice how sometimes your mind mimics a Marx brothers movie.
I'll extend the hand of friendship.
What if they don't accept it.
How dare they!.
I've never been so insulted in my life.
They have some nerve.
Here I am willing to accept the hand of friendship and they flatly turn me down.
It wanders off on a tangent.
Meditation does quiet the mind.

"You have to remember, Granny, that these are city people. They growed up with newspapers and radio and TV and an education. We didn't have none of those things. If we would've have, we'd been as peculiar as they are."

"The greatest joy in all of livin is the joy that comes from freely givin."

"Old folks likes old things."

"Ever man needs a wife; they's a lot of things he can't blame on the government."

"Happier than a itchy pig rubbing against a rail fence".

"A widow is sure to want to marry again. She knows all about men,and the only man who knows all about her is dead."

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed.
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed.
Then one day he was shootin' at some food.
And up through the ground came a bubblin' crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.

Well the first thing you know ol Jed's a millionaire.
Kinfolk said ";Jed move away from there.";
Said ";Californy is the place you ought to be.";
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly--
Hills, that is. Swimmin' pools, movie stars.

Ol' Jed bought a mansion, Law-dy it was swank.
Next door neighbor was pres'dent of the bank.
Lotsa folks objected, but the banker found no fault.
Cause ol' Jed's millions was a-layin' in the vault.
Cash, that is! Capital gains, Depletion money!

Well now its time to say good by to Jed and all his kin.
And they would like to thank you folks fer kindly droppin' in.
You're all invited back a 'gin to this locality.
To have a heapin' helpin' of their hospitality.
Hillbilly that is. Set a spell. Take your shoes off.
Y'all come back now, ya hear?

ACIM

Interesting, I reached “What is the Ego” in ACIM. And some relevant things pop up.

Read about Thaddeus Golas, author of “The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment”. He had some interesting views. At the core of the book is this axiom: We are equal beings, and the universe is our relations with each other.”Golas was not fond of the New Age movement nor of the propensity of its parishioners for wanting to attain control of physical reality. The New Age did not like him much either, in fact - he was banished by it.
He felt that many seekers in the Spirituality movement were about “channeling spirits, hugging trees, good vibes, pyramids, crystals, astrology, banal optimistic messages, and manifesting more reality into one’s life.” That should make for lively discussion. I guess Krishnamurti had a point. How do you know?
Maybe People should focus more on the Golden Rule rather than Law of Attraction.
Noticed this in D. Patrick Millers book "Understanding A Course in Miracles.". [It's less important to think about special or holy than to think that we're in relationships to learn to love, to truly give without strings, to forgive those that aggravate or frustrate us, and to learn great patience. pg115] Amen to that.

You may hear the angels say:"We are all here to learn and to love.
And to explore the infinite ways in which
Love can unfold in and around us.
In every part of our lives."
