Now when a detective has a case assigned to him and he’s
told to go out and catch the bank robber or the car thief
or whatever, he doesn’t stay in the police station and expect
the criminal to come in and turn himself in.

There are certain activities actions with endurances that the
detective has to take to bring the criminal to justice. Likewise
with human beings, because of false values, because of fear of
the unknown and a dozen other unnecessary negative factors,
human beings are prevented from proceeding persistently directly
