some means of distinguishing, one of them being that when you are following the
Holy Spirit’s guidance; you are ‘wholly without fear’. But really the question
is misplaced. The focus should not be on how you can tell which voice you’re
hearing, but on clearing out the obstacles to the voice of the Holy Spirit –
namely, guilt and the ego’s sense of specialness. The more you get rid of
theses interferences, the more you will hear the true voice of the Holy Spirit.
