"Be still, and know that I am God" MORE

THANK You, Father. For we come to sit in the radiance of Thy Divine Love, to submit ourselves completely to Thee, knowing that in Thy Presence we shall be experiencing Thy Love for us. Take us as we are, and reveal Thy glory in our souls and minds and bodies. Let Thy Will be done and Thy words be spoken, that we may arise into Thy Holy Spirit, to be one with Thee, one with each other, and one with all people in Heaven and earth, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Come out from among those who make their living in a box of beliefs and opinions. But there must be a silence in your heaven to hear the Voice of the Wind. Shhhhhhh… Be still and know… that “I” AM GOD… You must be very still. You must listen for this Voice that is within you, for It is your key out of the box.

GOD IN A BOX BY: JANE WOODWARD – 2003
What we most need we ourselves seldom know, but we may seek the inner silence in readiness to be filled according to need.  SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND HEALING by HORATIO W. DRESSER. Ph.D. [ 1922 ]
One begins to realize something of the experiences of the saints and mystics down the ages, in that they found they had to become still, to meditate, which really means to become still in God’s Presence and let God do what He wants to do. To become still, in a recognition that you have become still in the Almighty Presence of the Great Father, and that because you are not preventing Him by resistance, by lack of faith, by worries and fears and tensions, He now naturally manifests His Will, His Peace, and His Perfection throughout your being, as you allow Him to take charge of your mind and soul and body.

We are too active as a rule, too sure of our own way, too much absorbed in our own plans and fears. The Spirit demands but little of us---quiet, lowly listening--but it does ask this much. Here is the real power and value of silence. All that we perceive in these moments of quiet reflection has a lasting effect upon us. It is then that we grow. It is then that ideals take shape, and become permanent directions of mind. It is then that we become newly adjusted to life; for, after all, this task is never completed. Something new and perplexing is ever coming to test us; and always there is this one resource, to find our inward centre, and there to stand firm and contented. THE POWER OF SILENCE By Horatio W. Dresser 1895

There is only One Mind, The Christ Mind, or the God Mind, the God-Consciousness. Yes, you must be born again to see this, but you are told to “seek first the kingdom (consciousness) of God,” so do it! Simply be still and quiet. Listen to no man! Turn from every outward voice and hear the Voice of Silence, which is your true voice, the Voice of Father, the Voice of your Very Consciousness! Not “your conscience.” Forget the saying, “let your conscience be your guide.” You have no conscience. You ARE Consciousness! You either have a dream-like consciousness call the “human consciousness,” which is no more than a dream, from which you can awaken and see right through! OR you realize your True Consciousness, the God-Consciousness.
REGARDING THE WORLD OF APPEARANCES BY: JANE WOODWARD
One should start always with the thought of God, make vivid the idea of the Divine presence by selecting some sentence from the Bible, such as, "Be still, and know that I am God," which aids the process of detaching one's consciousness from the outer world and renews the realizational activity. Some prefer always to begin with the same sentence, since it has hallowed associations and readily admits one into the heart of the realization. Think of the Presence in the sense of vivifying power or energy, as quickening, life-giving. Consider what that Presence must be in itself, undisturbed at heart, in perfect peace, in ineffable composure, all- comprehending wisdom, all-sustaining love. Make such affirmations as best bring this realization before you.
SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND HEALING by HORATIO W. DRESSER. Ph.D. [ 1922 ]
Now that I know God, I want to know nothing about God. All that is necessary for me now is for me to be still and know God. All that I need now is to know God's inward peace, to immerse myself in the deep river of God's peace, and at the same time to feel it flowing through me. Thus the great mystery of the ages is solved: we in God, and God in us. Not as a theory or doctrine but as an actual, factual experience. Henry Thomas Hamblin ~ MY SEARCH FOR TRUTH
We are too intense, too active. We have not yet learned the power and supremacy of the Spirit, nor the value of quiet, systematic thinking. We struggle after ideas. We read this book and that, and go about from place to place in search of the latest and most popular lecturer, instead of pausing to make our own the few great but profoundly simple laws and truths of the Spirit. We are unaware of the power and value of a few moments of silence. THE POWER OF SILENCE By Horatio W. Dresser 1895
"BE STILL AND KNOW"
WHAT words of greater comfort, sweeter compassion or tenderer love and understanding could ever be whispered forth into expression? "Be still and Know.
" Beloved, let this day be to you a new day, a moment in your experience in which, if you are believing in fear and doubt, loss and separation, suddenly there opens to you a marvelous transparency of vision, when you hear the Voice of your own Soul; when you see the wonder of Life divine.
"The time is at hand" when we should all bring loving hearts and willing minds to hear, with the Psalmist, the Voice which ever whispers,
"Be still, and know that I am God."
The Time is at Hand By Lillian DeWaters
Wise silence invites the greatest power in the world, the supreme Power, the omnipresent Life. Let us be still in the truest and deepest sense of the word, and feel that Power. It is the Spirit in all things. It surrounds us here and now, in this present life, this beautiful world of nature, of law and order, this inner world of thought and the soul. It is supreme wisdom and perfect love. It knows no opposition. There is naught to disturb its harmonious, measured, and peaceful activity. It is beauty and peace itself. Its love and peace are present here with us. Let us then be still. Peace, peace, there is nothing to fear. In this restful happy moment we have won the peace of eternity, and it is ours forever. Who that has communed with the Power of silence in this way can do justice to the unspeakable joy of that moment of rest and peace? It is not suggestion alone that brings it. It is something more than mere thought. The experience is one of deep, inner stillness. The receptivity of the soul invites the supreme Love itself, the eternal Peace. Hence the soul's attitude is all-important. At best, any formula of thought or mental picture is a superficial aid. THE POWER OF SILENCE By Horatio W. Dresser 1895
Practice will eventually make it easy to enter the higher consciousness at will by simply commanding:
“Be still and know, -- I AM – GOD.”
Joseph Sieber Benner ~ The Way to the Kingdom(1932)
