Perception is an effect (of a belief), not a cause.

Dimension, being an ego construct, has no inherent meaning in terms of ACIM, as the world is an illusion but this reference helps clarify in terms of the ego: “Eternity is ONE time, its ONLY dimension being "always."
T-1.I.25:1-2 Miracles are part of an interlocking chain of forgiveness which, when completed, is the Atonement. Atonement works all the time and in all the dimensions of time.

"All that I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
“With your loving all people because God is Love, you will heal, and feed and comfort by your presence.” ECH
Seeing your natural gifts and true desires clearly is a powerful filter that leaves behind what is not important to you and shines the light on the purity of what you are and what you are here to do.
We live in a society where a tremendous amount of information comes at us daily. If we don't know what we are and what we value, we could easily become overwhelmed and exhausted, not knowing which way to turn.

Fortunately you are given guidance that helps you discern what is yours to do and what is not. This guidance comes to you through your desires. When you are following a true desire you can feel your connection to Spirit. You are energized, joyful and focused. Any conflict within dissolves. You can feel the inner peace of knowing you are in your right place, doing what is yours to do. This clarity greatly simplifies your life and allows you to share the best of what you are with others.
Throughout the day, notice what comes toward you from the outside world. Before committing or jumping into action take a moment to run it through your inner filter.
Ask yourself, is this something that is mine to do? Does it align with my values and purpose? If not, release it.
Affirm: I have the clarity to know what is mine to do and what isn't. http://www.receiveyourlife.com

"God is good... ALL the time!" Emma Curtis Hopkins would have liked that.

Jane Woodward, Lillian DeWaters, William Samuel, H. Emilie Cady and host of others wrote about seeking God, not changing the world.

Your plans will always succeed if you have this text always in your faith: "The Lord shall help me and deliver me." ECH

There is no point in lamenting the world. There is no point in trying to change the world. It is incapable of change because it is merely an effect. It is with your thoughts, then, that we must work, if your perception of the world is to be changed. WorkbookLesson 23

What keeps the world in chains but your beliefs? And what can save the world except your Self? Belief is powerful indeed. The world is nothing in itself. Your mind must give it meaning. There is no world apart from what you wish, and herein lies your ultimate release. Change but your mind on what you want to see, and all the world must change accordingly. Ideas leave not their source.
It is not pride which tells you that you made the world you see, and that it changes as you change your mind.
But it is pride that argues you have come into a world quite separate from yourself, impervious to what you think, and quite apart from what you chance to think it is. There is no world! This is the central thought the course attempts to teach. Not everyone is ready to accept it, and each one must go as far as he can let himself be led along the road to truth. He will return and go still farther, or perhaps step back a while and then return again.
But healing is the gift of those who are prepared to learn there is no world, and can accept the lesson now. Their readiness will bring the lesson to them in some form which they can understand and recognize

WorkbookLesson 132

Projection makes perception. The world you see is what you gave it, nothing more than that. But though it is no more than that, it is not less. Therefore, to you it is important. It is the witness to your state of mind, the outside picture of an inward condition. As a man thinketh, so does he perceiveTherefore, ‘Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world.Perception is a result and not a cause. T-21.in.1. A Course in Miracles

It is the attachment to the results of our attempts to ‘change the world’ that the Course is cautioning us against.
Anytime you judge who, what, when, or why of the world you’ve fallen into an ego trap. WHAT you do YOU do from a state of LOVE, hopefully under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You can get a tattoo or a naval ring if you do it from a state of LOVE, but first you’ll question why and then decide on the value. Of course once you’re at a certain level that won’t matter.

"A fable from the ancient East tells of a wealthy but evil magician who owned large flocks of sheep. Not wanting to build expensive fences or hire shepherds, he devised a clever scheme. He hypnotized the sheep and told them all sorts of lies about their identities. He convinced one sheep that he was a lion, another that he was an eagle, and so on. He also hypnotized them into believing that everything he did to them was for their own good and that no harm could come their way as long as they trusted him. So the gullible sheep served the selfish purposes of the wicked magician.
Thus are men hypnotized also. The evil magician is their own set of false illusions. They not only think illusions are good for them, but haven't the slightest notion of their hypnotic state!"

Perception has a focus. It is this that gives consistency to what you see. Change but this focus, and what you behold will change accordingly. Your vision now will shift, to give support to the intent which has replaced the one you held before. Remove your focus on your brother's errors, and you experience the peace that comes from faith in error-lessness. This faith receives its only sure support from what you see in others past their errors. For their mistakes, if focused on, are witnesses to errors in you. And you will not transcend their sight and see the error-lessness that lies beyond.
