What’s YOUR “Power Word”?

You are capable of managing large affairs. Those whom you serve can trust you. You will always be sure of competence in all things if you repeat this text daily: “The Almighty shall be thy defense, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.” ~ Emma Curtis Hopkins

What word was given to her to reduce her to a state of grace or instant inner peace?
What word has been given to you?
Mine is Confido.
The book also recounts a story of Judy Skutch scalding her hands with cooking grease while cooking French Fries and how Bill Thetford held his hands above and below hers and the burns miraculously disappeared.

"A few hundred years ago there was a very wise and very noble king who had two sons, two princes. The Father called them before him one day, and he said, 'I know that very soon you will be leaving the castle, going out into the world to find your own life, but before you go I want to tell you that I found a great secret of life. I found the secret of authentic and lasting happiness and I want to give you certain clues about it before you leave here so that when you go out into the world and experience all the hundreds and thousands of events that everyone experiences, I want you to have a certain method to use these experiences in a right way so that you can find what I have found because I want you to know the secret also.'
The King said, 'Here is a certain instrument', which looked like a thermometer, and he said, 'and I’m going to give one each to you as you go out into the world. They are called thrill-meters.'
He held up the thrill-meter and it had a little glass tube with a liquid inside. The tube had a line drawn right in the center of it, and the top half of the tube had a label on it that said _positive thrills_ and the lower half was labeled _negative thrills_.
The King added, 'I want you to keep the thrill-meter with you at all times and what I’m going to ask you to do is so simple that it won’t take a lot of work, but it will take a lot of heeding, a lot of attention to remember what I’m going to tell you about it, which is simply this: when you go out into the world tomorrow morning, going your separate ways, keep this thrill-meter in your pocket at all times and every time you have a particularly outstanding experience or event, after it is over, I want you to take the thrill-meter and just look at it and notice where the level is.
Sometimes for example, you will have an experience that you call a positive thrill, it would send the level of the thrill-meter up to the top, other times you might get depressed over something, it might go down to the bottom. Now all I want you to do, for now, every experience you have, you’re to look at this thrill-meter and find out where the level is - that’s all you do.
You just observe it, you don’t do anything about it, you just notice how this exterior experience affected the level of the meter that you are going to carry around with you all the time.'
And the Father continued, 'Furthermore, there’s a second clue to your finding the secret of authentic happiness. On the back of each one of these thrill-meters I put a page instructions and inspirations, and at the end of perhaps three or four years, or whenever you want to, I want you to take this note off the back of the thrill-meter and read it, and that will explain the whole story, because you don’t fully understand right now what I’m talking about.'
So, the two princes with their thrill-meters went out into the world. And they experienced life for many, many years, all the experiences and events and frustrations and what are called triumphs that any human being experiences, including us."
