Reframe Your Story

"A healed mind does not plan.
It carries out the plans that it receives
through listening to wisdom that is not its own...
It does not depend upon itself for anything except
its adequacy to fulfill the plans assigned to it."
ACIM Lesson 135.11.1-2, 4

You use yourself rightly by not using yourself wrongly. Vernon Linwood Howard

"The grass is pushing through the soil,
the trees are budding now, and
birds have come to live within their branches.
Earth is being born again in new perspective.
Night has gone, and we have come together in the light."
ACIM Workbook Review 2.4.4-6

If you choose to do right and choose true friends, you will always have plenty of drops of gold. Your mental state is responsible for all your environments and all your possessions. Keep this law in your heart: “Thy words were found and I did eat them, and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.” Emma Curtis Hopkins

"The human heart refuses to believe in a universe without purpose."
-- Immanuel Kant

Guy Finley: The only reason we ever feel trapped by anxious thoughts and feelings is that we just won't let go of the false idea that it takes time to know the strength and happiness of our original wholeness. [… entire writing …]
"Above all else I want to see differently.

While I see the world as I see it now,
truth cannot enter my awareness.
I would let the door behind this world be
opened for me, that I may look past it to the
world that reflects the Love of God."
ACIM Lesson 56.3.3-4

Writing Exercises to Help Reframe Your Story
1.     Focus on something that has been troubling you, something you don’t seem quite able to deal with or get over.
Write your deepest feelings about it for 10 to 15 minutes before you go to bed.  Repeat the exercise for the next couple of nights.
2.     Imagine you are a fly on the wall, looking at yourself.  Writing in the third person, try to explain what’s happening.
This exercise makes it a little easier to see events from a different angle and attach new meaning to them.
Who Would You Be Without Your. Story? Everything happens for me, not to me.” ~ Byron Katie http://thework.com/sites/thework/downloads/Little%20Book.pdf

There is no grief with any cause at all. And suffering of any kind is nothing but a dream. This is the truth, at first to be but said and then repeated many times; and next to be accepted as but partly true, with many reservations. Then to be considered seriously more and more, and finally accepted as the truth. Lesson 284 I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt.
