According to the journal Freedom, Anna was known for her “power as a teacher” and was the “finer speaker of the two” when compared to James. Freedom also noted that when James was invited to lecture in Florida, his students, pleased enough with their teacher, did not realize there was another teacher “more able-bodied (and able-brained)” than him, alluding to Anna’s skill as a New Thought teacher.
