“There is a light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

Act by it. Trust it. Let this be your daily affirmation:

When you love, people trust in their Goodness.
Trust by reason of this principle - we make people honest by believing in their honesty.

L yttelton Stewart Forbes Winslow MRCP ( 1844 – 1913) was a British psychiatrist famous for his involvement in the Jack the Ripper and Georgina Weldon cases during the late Victorian era.
He became an adherent of the benefits of hypnotism in dealing with psychiatric cases.
Winslow was the author of the 1877 pamphlet Spiritualistic Madness which identified spiritualism as a cause of insanity. He wrote that many believers in spiritualism were women and victims of their own gullibility. Winslow wrote that most believers in spiritualism were insane and suffer from mental delusions. He affirmed that there were "nearly ten thousand [such] persons in America" who had been confined in lunatic asylums.
In his time, Forbes Winslow was famous for his work on the Jack the Ripper murders. Today he is also known as one of the most extraordinary psychologists in history. His work presaged many discoveries that were not made till the 20th Century. His groundbreaking studies of the effects of light on emotion, his identification of 'Religious Mania' as a mental disease, along with his insights into the psycho-social influences as causative of crime were all explored in the 20th Century and proven to be true in the New Millennium.
