New Thought

"New Thought: A Practical American Spirtuality" and "Practising the Presence of God for Practical Purposes" by Anderson and Whitehouse are a couple of light-hearted gems if you want to understand New Thought. They had an issue with ACIM calling it New Age though. Maybe because it's non-denominational. But ACIM is more congruent with some of the New Thought writings than the New Age writings.

Dr. Ervin Seale gave a series of lessons entitled "The Quimby Writings" in February, 1981. These lessons were recorded at the Unity Village Chapel. Download and listen at http://www.ppquimby.com/ssmr/talks.htm Delightful, Inspiring and Enlightening! There's also other excellent talks there about Quimby from 2002 including Anderson, Whitehouse and others. There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.

Just call me a New Thought Fundamentalist. I prefer the core teachings of Quimby, Hopkins, Fillmore, Fox, Cramer, Murphy, Collier and anyone else who is consistent with New Thought.
Planetary changes are nice. 2012 will be nice. You take your old Mayan calendar down and put a new one up. That's it in a nutshell. What about planetary alignments you ask. Well, they're nice. But what do they have to do with the Mayan calendar? Or New Thought. Or being more loving. More in line with Theosopy and New Age beliefs. Which are fine and dandy. But I wouldn't sell the farm waiting for the world to end or magically transform. What if all the planets don't line up? Heard of "Cognitive dissonance? "?There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time -
It's easy.

New Thought was about you having the power to change/heal, by changing your thoughts. Quimby was about being healthy, happy and wise. Nothing outside of you has any power over you unless you let it. "Busting Loose from the Money Game" is a good book for making you look at life differently too.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

Thomas Troward spoke in his Edinburgh Lectures of the misuse of the "Power of Suggestion". Interesting how people adopt belief systems. Quimby was a true Clairvoyant/Medical Intuitive.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.

The power of the Internet. You can resarch any topic or anyone to see how much validity it has /they have. And yet remain your connection to Spirit.

All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
