Beyond Belief

The rulers thought that it was by their own power and will that they were doing what they did, but the Holy Spirit in secret was accomplishing everything through them as it wished. TheGospelOfPhilip

Truth, which existed since the beginning, is sown everywhere. And many see it being sown, but few are they who see it being reaped. TheGospelOfPhilip

She packed my bags last night pre-flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And I’m gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
It’s lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight

Some are afraid lest they rise naked. Because of this they wish to rise in the flesh, and they do not know that it is those who wear the flesh who are naked. It is those who are made into light by divesting themselves of the flesh who are not naked. TheGospelOfPhilip

And I think it’s gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I’m not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I’m a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

Wisdom is one thing, and death is another. Wisdom is simply wisdom, yet the wisdom of death is itself dead. This which is the wisdom with death, which is from the acquaintance with death is called the little wisdom. TheGospelOfPhilip

Faith receives, love gives. No one can receive without faith, no one can give without love. Therefore we believe so that indeed we shall receive, yet we give so that we shall love. Otherwise, if one is accustomed to give without love, he derives no benefit from having given.
TheGospelOfPhilip

Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it’s cold as hell
And there’s no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science I don’t understand
It’s just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man

Beyond Belief ~ The Secret Gospel of Thomas” by Elaine Pagels is excellent for understanding why certain texts were hidden and not included in the New Testament.

And I think it’s gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I’m not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no ...
