"Self-knowing is self-glowing. How many of you
want to glow? I don’t mean fly around because that’s what your mind associated.
We use the word glow to describe a pleasant feeling at some nice experience
seeing a beautiful sight over the forest and the meandering rivers.
.
Transfer that to the spiritual world. You can be in an inner state of glowing
all the time and you won’t have to lapse from it, not even for one second and
you should know why that is so. It is so because reality itself is nothing but
a glowing state, nothing can touch it, so if you want to glow inwardly, that
is, be in the light, glowing is spreading light isn’t it? If you want to be in
the light all the time, then you have to liberate that spiritual sensing that
you have inside but you haven’t had the willingness or the knowledge to let it
loose so that the glow that is inside, but covered up, is indeed released, to
glow so completely, which is its nature, so that the glow itself, the light
itself consists of you, your nature, and everything that is outside your
physical parts out in the world.
.
That means, when you’re in the whole glow, whatever your enlightened spiritual
nature sees, it also has instantaneous comprehension of what it sees. There is
no human vanity and self-centeredness in the glow, obviously, so that it is
pure, free, complete." from a talk given 11/5/1988 Vernon

"GOOD AND BAD NEWS
A student of esotericism raced excitedly up to his teacher to exclaim, 'I have
just heard good news!'
.
'I am sorry,' the teacher replied, 'but it is bad news.' The teacher explained
to the bewildered student the meaning of the term “identification”. '
You call an event good news when you identify with it.
This means the event seems to affirm your acquired sense of self, seems to
prove your invented identity.
Likewise, you say another event is bad news because it seems to threaten this
imaginary self. '
.
A week later the student sighed sadly to the teacher, 'I have just had bad
news.'
.
'No,' said the teacher, 'it is good news, for now you can better understand
identification and get rid of its injury.'
.
_Rise above both
good and bad news to where every event is met with understanding and
self-command_."Vernon

Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life : This is such a clichéd statement;
however, when you know your world is yours to mold through your consciousness,
it can have a profound impact on your life. You get a redo each and every
moment. If the current patterns of your life are not aligned with your values,
you can make a different choice. This
week pick an area of your life where you want to redirect your energy. It may
be around health, food, exercise, relationships, finances, career, etc. Remember
that the shift happens first in consciousness. You don't have to jump yet to
the physical plane. Inspired action will follow naturally. Affirmation: I have the power to redirect my energy. The choice
is mine. http://www.receiveyourlife.com
