Moral Re-Armament (MRA), of 1938, grew into an informal, international network of people of all faiths and backgrounds. It was based around what it called the 'Four Absolutes' (absolute honesty, absolute purity, absolute unselfishness and absolute love) and encouraged its members to be actively involved in political and social issues. One of the movement's core ideas was that changing the world starts with seeking change in oneself. Come Wind, Come Weather (1940) written by Daphne du Maurier contained stories of ordinary Britons who had found hope and new life through MRA. She dedicated it to "Frank Buchman, whose initial vision made possible the world of the living characters in these stories," and added, "What they are doing up and down the country in helping men and women solve their problems, and prepare them for whatever lies ahead, will prove to be of national importance in the days to come." The book sold 650,000 copies in Britain alone.

Where Frank Buchman appealed to adults, Gerry Visca appeals to the youth. New Thought was about the ONENSS. ACIM also teaches ONENES and ACIM came about after someone said “There has to be a better way.”

We live in a time where a shift in the world’s energy is moving from ME to MANY.  My state of being is centered around pouring myself into the benefit of others, inspiring them to be the best that they can be so they give permission to others to do the same.  I envision a world inspired and that brings me tremendous joy.

In 1909 Penn State was 'the most godless university in the country'. Mired in student strikes, class scraps, 'Hazing'_[1] and the supply of alcohol on the campus was plentiful. It was here that Frank Buchman found himself after accepting a job as YMCA Secretary. On 29 January 1908, Frank Buchman had sailed for Europe on the SS Moltke. While in Britain he discovered he had been nursing ill-will having been forced to resign a post earlier in October:

The central practice to the Oxford Group/MRA members was guidance, which was usually sought in the "quiet time" of early morning using pen and paper. The grouper would normally read the Bible or other spiritual literature, then take time in quiet with pen and paper, seeking God's direction for the day ahead, trying to find God's perspective on whatever issues were on the listener's mind. He or she would test their thoughts against the standards of absolute honesty, purity, unselfishness and love, and normally check with a colleague.

This blog developed after receiving an email from Gemma Stone with this quote:

Obviously his interests in “the archetype, the collective unconscious, the complex, synchronicity, The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI , a popular psychometric instrument), dream analysis and symbolization, Eastern and Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology, and sociology, philosophy and the occult” are fascinating but the it was the references to Rowland Hazard III and the Oxford Group that caught my attention.
