Can God Be Reached Directly?

God indeed can be reached directly, for there is no distance between Him and His Son. His awareness is in everyone's memory, and His Word is written on everyone's heart. Yet this awareness and this memory can arise across the threshold of recognition only where all barriers to truth have been removed. In how many is this the case? Here, then, is the role of God's teachers. They, too, have not attained the necessary understanding as yet, but they have joined with others. This is what sets them apart from the world. And it is this that enables others to leave the world with them. Alone they are nothing. But in their joining is the Power of God.

Silence

"Every man, every woman must take time daily for quiet and meditation. In daily meditation lies the secret of power. No one can grow in either spiritual knowledge or power without it."
More>> H. Emilie Cady: "In daily meditation lies the secret of power".

To sit down in silence could at least pledge me to nothing; it might open me (as it did that morning) the very gate of heaven. And since that day, now more than seventeen years ago, Friends' meetings have indeed been to me the greatest of outward helps to a fuller and fuller entrance into the spirit from which they have sprung; the place of the most soul-subduing, faith-restoring, strengthening, and peaceful communion, in feeding upon the bread of life, that I have ever known.

See The Light All Around

Mrs. Dresser spoke of there being nothing of themselves in their treatments - that they made themselves mediums to the Healing Power - or rather it was as if she and her patients were both in a room, bright with sun-light & the patient had a thick bandage over her eyes - her work was to remove the bandage and let her see that the light was all around her - that she had only thought, it was dark.

Oráculo manual y arte de prudencia (literally The Oracle, a Manual of the Art of Discretion)

Baltasar Gracián y Morales, SJ ( 1601 – 1658) was a Spanish Jesuit and baroque prose writer. He was born in Belmonte, near Calatayud (Aragon). His proto-existentialist writings were lauded by Nietzsche and Schopenhauer.
Oráculo manual y arte de prudencia (literally The Oracle, a Manual of the Art of Discretion), commonly translated as  Art of Worldly Wisdom is almost entirely composed of three hundred maxims with commentary. He constantly plays with words: each phrase becomes a puzzle, using the most diverse rhetorical devices.

Authentic Love and Y O U

VH

"If you love Truth you will enjoy your life. You will enjoy your life for the first time because the love of truth is life. What you have now is a muddled blundering, unhappy existence and the reason it is unhappy is because there is no authentic love in it. All there is ‘is you’.
