As words are living things they always objectify. When the undesirable comes into our existence it shows us that we have been doing some wrong thinking. Fanny Louise Middleton Harley - 1895

Right Thinking.
"Search for the Truth is the noblest occupation of
man. Its publication is a duty." Madame

Politeness is the art of choosing among your thoughts.
Anne Louise Germaine de Staël-Holstein ( 1766 – 1817 ), commonly known as Madame de Staël, was a French woman of letters of
Swiss origin whose lifetime overlapped with the events of the French Revolution
and the Napoleonic era. She was one of Napoleon's principal opponents.
Celebrated for her conversational eloquence, she participated actively in the
political and intellectual life of her times. Her works, both critical and
fictional, made their mark on the history of European Romanticism.
“Prayer is more than meditation. In meditation, the source of strength is one's self. When one prays, he goes to a source of strength greater than his own.”
It is not the quantity but the quality of knowledge which determines the mind's dignity.
William Ellery Channing ( 1780 – 1842 ) was
the foremost Unitarian preacher in the United States in the early nineteenth
century and along with Andrews Norton, (1786-1853), one of Unitarianism's
leading theologians. He was known for his articulate and impassioned sermons
and public speeches, and as a prominent thinker in the liberal theology of the
day. Channing's religion and thought were among the chief influences on the New
England Transcendentalists, though he never countenanced their views, which he
saw as extreme.

Mental Science
The rise into popularity of the teachings of
the New Thought or Mental
Science has familiarized many persons with the idea of
thought-transference in some of its varied forms, until to-day we find that the
majority of persons are prepared to admit that “there must be some fire where
there is so much smoke.” Telepathy - Sidney

“The fact is, most people

Golden Rule
“In order to perfectly live the Golden Rule, one in business, to begin
with, would be compelled to buy his merchandise in such a way that he would be
dealing with the seller on the basis of the Golden Rule, as well as buying for his customers on the basis of the Golden Rule. The thought I want to bring
out, is that we have left most things religious and spiritual down in the
swamps of sentimentalism. The efforts of the church in the past have not been
directed as much as they may toward educating and equipping men and women to
live large and full lives. Whatever has come to the A. Nash Company in living the Golden Rule has come because there has
been enough business knowledge to enable us to live it to just that degree, and
whenever we have failed in exercising that very highest and keenest business judgment
on a truly ethical basis. It has been because we did not have sufficient
insight to understand our obligation measured by the Golden Rule. . . . In other words, perfect
and infallible living of the Golden Rule would require infallible mentality and undaunted courage.”

Your Purpose is to Be You.
It is like a postage-stamp then; it
only has value if it sticks. Am I right about this: that what I really AM that
I attract? Might this not be the meaning of Jesus' statement in Matthew 13:20 when he said "For whomsoever
hath to him shall be given and he shall have more abundance; but whosoever hath
not from him shall be taken away even that which he hath?" When one really
HAS a husband in feeling and mentally pictures him one really does HAVE that
husband; and he is sure to appear in form as a human being: Is this not having
more abundance? How slowly I grow. First I wanted my husband to have
understanding; now I see that he IS understanding.

JUST BE GLAD
Give
your best to the world no matter how insignificant that best may be, and the
world will invariably give its best to you. - Christian Daa Larson
Thou wouldst not be seeking God
if thou hadst not already found Him.~ Pascal
Ann made it a daily custom to take a complete cold sponge bath. Just as
she was preparing for this she suddenly stopped, and addressing God she said, "What is that you say, Father?" Then in a moment she burst out with the exclamation, "Yes, that is it. Thank you,
Father."
And then with rapture she repeated the following verses:
Pray without ceasing.
While still upon her knees,
she said, "Lord, what is evil?" And the answer came, ''Anger, wrath, malice," ctc. All night long she wept and prayed as the
inward sinfulness was revealed to her. Toward morning, in sheer desperation,
she cried out, “O Lord, how will I know when I get deliverance?" The answer came, ''

A new revelation of Christianity.
Mr. Quimby pointed back to Christianity, he
did not take credit to himself. He saw that for hundreds of years the world had
been deprived of an important portion of the gospel of Christ. Hence the
teachings which have grown out of Quimby's pioneer work have been said to be
nothing less than "a new revelation of Christianity.
Study carefully St. Matthew, chapter 13, verse 12.
Jesus uttered those golden words to teach mankind that like does
attract like, invariably and infallibly. That passage states the law of
attraction* at its best, including an unshakable faith, visualizing by
means of which one HAS spiritually, or in the mind, even that which is sought,
and which serves as a magnet of infinite power to draw to one the glad
fulfillment in form, or physical reality, provided only one also WORKS
confidently and happily to carry out the ideas the Father gives one, through
intuition, as steps in the path to the shining goal. Now let us directly quote
the passage, then strip it bare of all the "mystery" so many claim it
contains for them. Unfortunately, to many that verse remains a riddle for life
unless they are sufficiently interested to seek until they find the key to its
solution. The passage reads: "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and
he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not from him shall be taken
away even that he hath." The big question is: "For whosoever
hath" what? Does it mean the one who has wealth of money, or property, or
other earthly possessions? No, although the one who has the thing that is meant
is certain to acquire financial independence and retain it. It means simply
that "whosoever hath" the consciousness of the Father within, who has
that exalted awareness as an abiding conviction, who has implicit faith in it,
and who actively carries on in the work that one does, whatever it may be, the
ideas of Life, Love, Beauty and Harmony the Father gives that one in an
unending stream, to that one will be given all he may ever require, and to
spare. But the person who "hath not" the high consciousness is
subject to all the sorrows, lacks and other in-harmonies circumstances and
conditions can bring to bear upon him, even to the point of losing all he has
gained through habitual employment of secondary causation. . . for since he has
not the awareness he is, or shall be, "under the rule of an iron
destiny," to quote Troward, and dwells in anxiety and fear, knowing not that "the
eternal God is our refuge and a very present help in trouble." HOW TO LIVE LIFE AND LOVE IT by Genevieve Behrend
