THE QUIET PLACE
THE QUIET PLACE INSIDE
The tangles roots of addiction
begin in my mind
when I believe the world is
a land of trinklets promising happiness.
Wisdom from the mouths of babes: ‘Let go’, ‘Be open to Receive’ and ‘Move on’.
The
essence of yourself as a child still lives in you, innocent and full of love.
Let a child re-introduce you to yourself.
Let a child re-introduce you to yourself.
Bye-Bye Wisdom
Part of growing up is learning the delicate balance of being
dependent and independent. Toddlers can go through some separation anxiety, but
ultimately and ideally, they learn that they are loved and cared for. With this
they are able to say “bye-bye” and know they are not being left. The same is
now true with your relationship with God. You may have conflict and anxiety in
your life because you have been away from your spirituality for so long that
you believe you are not alone. This makes it difficult to let go, even when it
is time to move on. Developing your spirituality will allow you to feel more
completely loved and cared for, and will help you let go of circumstances,
people, and material possessions that are no longer in your best interest. When
you take in that God has never left you; you will more easily be able to let go
of situations when the time has come.

The paradox of Patience.
Those who are certain of the
outcome can afford to wait, and wait without anxiety. Patience is natural to
the teacher of God. All he sees is certain outcome, at a time perhaps unknown
to him as yet, but not in doubt. The time will be as right as is the answer.
And this is true for everything that happens now or in the future. The past as
well held no mistakes; nothing that did not serve to benefit the world, as well
as him to whom it seemed to happen. Perhaps it was not understood at the time.
Even so, the teacher of God is willing to reconsider all his past decisions, if
they are causing pain to anyone. Patience is natural to those who trust. Sure
of the ultimate interpretation of all things in time, no outcome already seen
or yet to come can cause them fear. (M-4.VII.1) ACIM

Me to WE: We live the change!
There exists only the present instant... a Now which always and without end is
itself new. There is no yesterday nor any tomorrow, but only Now, as it was a thousand years ago
and as it will be a thousand years hence. Meister

For many of us,
when we think of service, we envision great feats, sacrifices, large
philanthropic donations, and other grand gestures. While service can be all
those things, service can be much more accessible in our daily lives. Giving to
others through service is simply recognizing what you do best in any given
moment and offering that as a gift to someone else. For instance, in this
moment, you may be sitting in a coffee shop across from someone who looks like
she could really use a warm smile and, in this moment, you offer a smile in
service to brighten her day. Giving can be that simple.

Gratitude is my prayer.
"Check and correct your
aims every day to make sure they lead toward higher goals." VH
Practicing
gratitude for our lives as human beings – for the air we breathe, for our
magnificent bodies, and the beauty of being alive – is a wonderful place to
start. From this point of view, we can expand our gratitude outward, like
ripples in a still pond, appreciating everything and everyone we encounter and
those who touch our lives as well. Oprah & Deepak
Gratitude
is a lesson hard to learn.
If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough. Meister

ME to WE and WHY
World Helped by You
Moral Re-Armament (MRA), of 1938,
grew into an informal, international network of people of all faiths and
backgrounds. It was based around what it called the 'Four Absolutes' (absolute
honesty, absolute purity, absolute unselfishness and absolute love) and
encouraged its members to be actively involved in political and social issues. One of the movement's core ideas was that changing the
world starts with seeking change in oneself. Come
Wind, Come Weather (1940) written by Daphne du Maurier contained
stories of ordinary Britons who had found hope and new life through MRA. She
dedicated it to "Frank
Buchman, whose initial vision made possible the
world of the living characters in these stories," and added, "What they are doing up and down
the country in helping men and women solve their problems, and prepare them for
whatever lies ahead, will prove to be of national importance in the days to
come." The book sold 650,000 copies in Britain alone.
Where Frank Buchman appealed to adults, Gerry Visca appeals to the
youth. New Thought was about the ONENSS. ACIM also teaches ONENES and ACIM came
about after someone said “There has to be a better way.”
We live in a time where a shift in the world’s energy is moving from ME
to MANY. My state of being is centered
around pouring myself into the benefit of others, inspiring them to be the best
that they can be so they give permission to others to do the same. I envision a world inspired and that brings
me tremendous joy.

Faith, Hope and Charity.
"There had been quite a heavy snowstorm in the
night, and when we got up in the morning and looked out of the tent I noticed
each of the three peaks had a heavy veil of snow on the north side and I said
to the boys, 'Look at the Three Nuns.' They were called the Three Nuns for
quite a while but later were called the 'Three Sisters,' more Protestant like I
suppose." Albert Rogers

Today is life-the only life you are sure of.
In him, Jesus, is found the answer, because in his remembering that nothing happened he knew that he was still part of the Christ. And Christ is perfectly one, perfectly whole, and perfectly united with His Source. So by joining with Jesus, we are joining with that oneness, and therefore we are joining with Christ.

them in human mind. Know that God loves you. ~ I dwell in the oneness of eternal love. I

You will get praise and

"Thoughts and
moods that roam around the dark jungle of your inner self must be brought to
the surface. That is basic, fundamental. Never forget it. The spiritual light
exists for the purpose of shining down on the malicious marauders inside you,
shining down and in it’s warmth and health and purity the spiritual sunshine
can destroy the unconscious evils that make you miserable.
But you have to do something about the contact of the sunshine with the darkness. Your part is to allow yourself to see what is murky and foggy down there which is the same thing as bringing it up to the sunshine.

The Majesty of Calmness.
THE great test of individual character is not struggle but
attainment; not failure but success; not adversity but prosperity. When Nature
wants to put a man through the third degree, she places near him his laurel
wreaths of victory; she megaphones to him the world’s plaudits of success; she
parades stacks of newspaper clippings and magazine articles with his portraits;
she clinks his money-bags in his ears, and she tells him confidentially of the
world-changing power of his influence. She smiles on him kindly and murmurs, “Poor fellow, is he able to stand it?” Then she sends him for his test through
— the
dark valley of prosperity.
Few pass through it immune; few acquire no perversion of mind, few escape fractures
of ideals or new dents in character. But when one, through it all, remains just
as good and simple and lovable as when he began the trip, remains kindly, strong,
sympathetic, sincere, and unspoiled, Nature is glad indeed to admit she has found—a
real man, a big man, a great man. The Power of Purpose by William George Jordan (1909)
William
George Jordan (1864–1928) was an American editor and essayist.
Jordan was editor for several
magazines during his lifetime, including the Ladies Home Journal and TheSaturday Evening Post, and he was author of a number of books. He lectured on
education, and it was his suggestion that the governors of the states organize
which led to their first meeting in Washington in 1908.

Joy and Peace are still possible, right here, right now, no matter what’s going on.
“Stop pretending that you are in bondage—stop
telling yourself that lie! Stop pretending to be someone, or something! You are
no one, you are no-thing! You are not this body or this mind. This body and
mind exist within who and what you are. You are pure consciousness, already
free, awake, and liberated. Stand up and walk out of your dream. I am here to
say that you can do this.”
“We
always want someone else to change so that we will feel good. But has it ever
struck you that even if your wife changes or your husband changes, what does
that do to you? You’re just as vulnerable as before; you’re just as idiotic as
before; you’re just as asleep as before. You are the one who needs to change,
who needs to take medicine.”
“Just sit there right now, don’t do a thing. Just rest. For your
separation from God, from Love, is the hardest work in this World. Let me bring
you trays of food and something that you like to drink. You can use my soft
words as a cushion for your Head.”

The Ten Cannots and Seven National Crimes.
Love is NOT a Test-Jennifer Hadley (I don’t believe God tests us, nor do
I believe the Universe tests us. I have a friend that believes we are tested.
But if you’ve studied ACIM, and we are the one who is dreaming of separation then
who or what is there to test us. I’ve come to realize it’s a matter of degrees.
Faith vs doubt. Love vs fear. And you really need to question every belief.
That’s where the work of Morty Lefkoe and Byron Katie is helpful.)
The
Ten Cannots of William
John Henry Boetcker (1873–1962). Boetcker was an American Presbyterian minister and
influential public speaker. He quickly gained attention as an eloquent
motivational speaker, and is often regarded today as the forerunner of such
contemporary "success coaches" as Anthony Robbins. Originally published in 1916 as a
pamphlet entitled The Ten Cannots which emphasized freedom and responsibility of
the individual on himself.

We were brothers up there.
It is important to realize that the meaning we unconscious give to events is never the truth, because events have no inherent meaning. So any meaning we give an event—positive or negative—exists only in our mind, not in the event itself. Full article @ But I Want To Have Positive Emotions by Morty Lefkoe

“Do I want to understand…or, do I want peace?”
Do you remember the old expression "If
the shoe fits, wear it"? Well, in our spiritual work, any reaction we have to a
correction proves that our shoes not only fit, but they are laced too tight. We can use
everything that is thrown at us (right or wrong) to walk away from what is
wrong within ourselves. This path naturally turns every so-called
"wrong" into a Right. [Read Entire Writing] Guy

DRAWING YOUR OWN TO YOU.
SUPPOSE that you wish to draw friends and companions to you;
that you wish to enlarge your circle of friendships. This, too, can all be
worked out by law, for everything can be worked out by the same law, the reason
being that all is One and that the One becomes the many in expression. There
are too many people in the world who are lonesome because they have a sense of
separation from people. The thing to do is not to try to unify with people, but
with the Principle of Life behind all people and things. This is working from
the center and not the circumference; in this One Mind are the minds of all
people.
MONEY A SPIRITUAL IDEA.
MANY people seem to think that money must be evil, although I have never as yet seen any who did not want a lot of this evil in their lives.
RACE CONSCIOUSNESS.
ONE
of the things which greatly hinders us from demonstrating a greater degree of
prosperity we may call race thought or race consciousness[1]. This is the result of all that the race has thought or
believed. We are immersed in it, and those who are receptive to it are
controlled by it. All thought seeks expression along the lines of least
resistance. When we become negative or fearful we attract that kind of thought
and condition. We must be sure of ourselves; we must be positive; we must not
be aggressive, but absolutely sure and poised within. Negative people are
always picking up negative conditions; they get into trouble easily: Persons
who are positive draw positive things; they are always successful. Few people
realize that the law of thought is the great reality; that thoughts produce
things. When we come to understand this power of thought, we will carefully
watch our thinking to see that no thought enters that we should not want made
into a thing. Creative Mind and Success, by

Imagination vs. Fantasy
C.S. Lewis delineated between the two in his book “Surprised by Joy”[1] where
he talked about his early days imagining “Animal Land” which was a world he
made up with his older brother. The time he spent imagining Animal Land, he
noted, was great practice for becoming a writer. But fantasies about his own
glory, he noted, (he would often spend time fantasizing about being a good
dancer) was only practice for becoming a fool.
