There
is nothing new in New Thought. The New Thought movement represents a
synthesis of ideas from the best of religion, philosophy and science. The same
ideas are at the basis of all enlightenment traditions of the world. What
distinguishes New Thought is that it is shorn of the accumulated dogma and bias
of many traditional disciplines, which may burden and inhibit personal
spontaneity and discovery. March 3 is the First Annual New Thought Day,
and this day is dedicated to the teachings and principles of New Thought.
The Science of Mind is one of several organizations around the world,
which embrace this viewpoint. Austin Center for Spiritual Living presents
Just What Is New Thought, a talk given by Rev. Richard Imprescia on Sunday, March 3 2013.

There is One Divine
Principle and Substance in the universe.
This Principle manifests as
Life, Love, Harmony, Power, Intelligence, etc.
It is omnipresent.
Man is an expression of this
Divine Principle. Man is created in the image and likeness of this Principle,
and in proportion as man reflects perfectly Divine Principle he is harmonious
and healthy.
Disease and inharmony spring
from the error which man pictures in his mortal (limited) mind. Disease is
simply the absence of truth. A man might close his eyes and declare that there
was no light. All error arises from closing the consciousness against truth, and filling the
mind with pictures of error --- allowing the mind to become hypnotized with
error thoughts.
Bless and praise and fill
the mind with gratitude toward Divine Principle and you invite harmony and love
and health to abide with you.
Let your prayer be,
"Give me the consciousness of health."
Have an objective point in
all your thinking. Be definite.
Do not seek to attract
health for one particular organ; do not treat yourself too much for one
particular disease. Seek rather to cast out the belief in inharmony as a whole,
and recognize that no form of inharmony is based upon eternal truth.
Health, Life, Love, Harmony,
are the eternal verities.
The Way to
Perfect Healing BY
WILLIAM E. TOWNE 1910
William Towne was the husband of Elizabeth Towne. He was a strong
believer in his wife who was about a head taller than him. He was a strong
willed man who loved his tall, heavy set wife with an intense and passionate
love that was often remarked upon about the town of Holyoke.
Everything Which You Do Not
Forgive Yourself or Another For,
Will be Repeated in Your Experience
Rev. Ike demonstrates the virtue
of talking to your audience, at their level, and in a language they can
understand. And isn’t that exactly what “J” did some two thousand
years ago when he talked to his disciples.
Whether we had
good fathers or not-so-good fathers, each of us needs to examine that
relationship -- or non-relationship -- and acknowledge its impact on shaping
our lives. It is important that we get beyond the idealizations of our fathers
and finding understanding, forgiveness and healing.
"The truth of you is God, Infinite Good. The truth of you
is perfection. You may go away from this truth in consciousness as the Prodigal
Son did, but the truth of you, the Infinite Goodness of you, will not
change."
Science of Living by Rev. Ike
There is an ancient peace you carry in your heart and have
not lost. There is a sense of holiness in you the thought of sin has
never touched. We are one with Him Who is our Source.
