We live in a house of consciousness, and a lot of things go on out there in the world. The most prominent window is the TV screen. As you listen to (actually witness) the news, you are presented with a skillfully produced picture of a world of crime and poverty and economic flux. In recent years "the news" has become the No. 1 entertainment form. Stations vie with one another to present he most sensation. Even weather reports are so over dramatized as to become almost worthless as forecasts. The problem is, when it comes to economic reports, because we are accustomed to being manipulated by what see out this TV window, they become "self-fulfilling prophecy." What am I saying, that we shouldn't watch the news? Not at all. One may want, even need, to be informed. Just keep in mind that what you are seeing is the appearance of things. You have the right, perhaps even the responsibility, to put own stamp of God-consciousness upon everything you see and hear. The important Truth is that if you are manipulated by the news then you become a part of the world's problems; but if you look out the window of Truth and project a fountain of light and love, then you are part of the solution.
