mathematician, physicist, radio engineer and parapsychologist.
Worked under Marconi on radio
communications, and was demonstrating Marconi's techniques to the Mexican
government when he joined the SPR in 1908. He conducted numerous experiments in telepathy and was
interested in apparitional experiences.

the core of Reality, integral with science, with philosophy, and with the whole
of human experience.”
Psychical Research became the
main interest in his life, and in 1923 he decided to devote himself to it
entirely. Wrote Grades of Significance, Science and Psychical
Phenomena, The Personality of Man and Apparitions, and has
contributed articles to the Hibbert Journal, the Spector, Philosophy,
