The forms and
ceremonies of the church are all symbolical of interior processes.
As external forms they are nothing at all, and have no
power in themselves. Annie Rix Militz
All these years you've been
taught to believe that before you can hope to succeed at something, you have to
first feel as though you can. No! To succeed, you need only
understand how failure is created, and then consciously refuse to cooperate
with what has been defeating you from within. Guy Finley
"I am seeking my Good, and my Good is my God," is
telling a simple truth. Emma Curtis Hopkins
"There
is an _original creation, an original world, an invisible world_, which
actually exists at this moment, which we are here discussing. It exists right
now, but not to the world.
This invisible world that I’m talking about is one in which there is no strife,
no competition, no worry, no strain, but a world of peace and understanding —
something that is unlike the world you now inhabit.
Now this world is timeless. It has always existed. It is the original world. A
happy, free, spiritual — truly spiritual — world.
But somewhere along the way, something happened. Something bad happened to
human beings. And this original world was lost to them because they insisted on
building their own world as suited their own false values, as suited their own
wrong ideas about themselves, their vanity ideas.
And so having departed from the original true world, men and women began to
build their own kind of a world, and their horror story began, and it has
continued to this day. Now in this world, which you know a lot about, there is
nothing but chaos and self-deception. Everyone pretending they know and no one
does know." Vernon Linwood Howard
“Love, whether it’s being applied to yourself
or it’s being applied to somebody else, is a feeling that you have that causes
you to want to take certain kinds of actions. And those actions, whether it’s
for yourself or for someone else, are designed to help you in various ways.” Lazaris
Thus
man is Spirit.
If man, or all, is Spirit, then I am Spirit.
If Spirit cannot be
in poverty, I cannot be in poverty.
If Spirit cannot be burdened, I cannot be
burdened.
If Spirit cannot be sick, I cannot be sick.
All these are nothing to
Spirit, therefore they are nothing to me.
I am not deceived by any of them.
This is the only religion which will work practically with the mind, and bring
out the external forms in new combinations.
It is a religion which teaches us
to be grateful to Spirit for all the good that comes to us, and appreciate that
all the evil that comes is by reason of our having imagined something against
man or God, or the universe, which could not be possible at all.
We worship
Spirit in all forms, and let forms alone.
We do not try to change them; they
change themselves by our thoughts of Spirit.
There is a law of setting aside
appearances by Truth.
We learn Truth, and we are masters of the law. Emma Curtis Hopkins
Why do you say, "I do not accuse myself of
selfishness"? Because every person you see is the expression of your own
traits of character.
