THE STORM

A group of friends rented a mountain cabin for a few days. When an unexpected storm kept them indoors, the first few hours were spent in pleasant conversation. But one man suddenly revealed a deep bitterness by complaining of past mistreatment by people. Surprised by his outburst, the others said little.
Next morning, the complainer asked someone who had just stepped out the door, 'Is it still storming?'
'Not out here.'

“Reality” is what you see and hear now.
Period.

We usually don’t distinguish between reality and how it occurs or happens for us, so  we think the meaning we are giving reality is the same as reality.
It isn’t.
And because they are different, we can dissolve the unconscious meaning we give
reality so that reality has a neutral occurring or happening to us.
“_It is the inner storm which needs attention and correction._"
It’s like William Samuel said in “2+2-Reality”, you have to discover what REALITY means to YOU.
Whether you do “The Work” of Byron Katie and take your thoughts or beliefs to Inquiry,
Undertake the work of Morty Lefkoe to undo your beliefs,
Study Vernon Howard,
Study “Core Transformations”,
Or any other method or practice that leads to consistent a sense of peace and calm which, maybe, just maybe,  is one step closer to what we really are.
Be neutral.
“_It is the inner storm which needs attention and correction._"
YOU are the creative consciousness of your life!

… it was revealed to me that the world which has been termed the "without", is actually the real world "within us". I saw that any other mental world, so-called "within", is but imaginative: for since it is consciousness which sees, hears and enjoys this world, then this very world before us is the very world within us! The true world is ever with us, the Self. To the extent that we know the Truth about our Self, do we come to know the Truth about our world also. The Practice Of Reality by Lillian DeWaters
