2+2= REALITY

Actually this book is quite clever. There are an infinite number of numbers in Arithmetic. Each number is unique (by name and value) and each numbers contributes to the whole of Arithmetic.
There are whole numbers (0,1,2,3,4,5, . . ) and fractions (3.4, 333.33).
Odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15, . . .).
Even numbers (2,4,6,8,10,12, . . .).
Perfect squares (1,4,9,16,25,36,49)
Fibonacci numbers ( 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,. . . )
And various other subsets of numbers.
And regardless of whether it’s addition, subtraction, division, multiplication or any other operation or function, each and every number is unique and contributes to the WHOLE of Arithmetic.
Arithmetic has no beginning and it has no end. Arithmetic is Arithmetic.
And no number exists outside of Arthmetic.
Even numbers are no better than odd numbers.
Perfect squares are not special, neither are Fibonacci numbers. Only in the context we use them. 3.14 and 333.33 are both simply numbers and no more special or significant than any other number in relation to the WHOLE of Arithmetic.

We are each one of those numbers and we each contribute to the whole.
Are you really any better than anyone else? No!
Are you more special than anyone else? No!
You are part of the whole.
And just as one,two, three, four and five exist in Arithmetic, you, me, Dick and Jane, Moe, Larry and Curly all exist in Reality, this Reality of ALLNESS or ONENESS.
And therefore we are not separate.
So read the book, then go within and discover your reality and relation to God, this ALLNESS.

William Samuel (1924-1996) Mystic, Writer, Teacher





A prolific writer of truth, science, religion, and spiritual awakening. William Samuel was known as the "teacher's teacher" perhaps because so many teachers come to study with him. There was an inordinate number of philosophers, theologians, and members of the academe. In the later years there came physicists and mathematicians.

William Samuel devoted his life to the search for truth, a quest that took him twice around the globe and included the years he spent in China during the Second World War, a period which his books describe in some detail.

At 18 years old he was made captain of infantry and was sent to do battle in China, during W.W.II During that time he met his translator, a venerated Taoist monk, named Mr. Shieh, who was to become his friend, guide, and spiritual teacher.

After the war, Samuel returned to China and continued to study with Mr. Shieh for several months. Mr. Shieh would give William 'assignments', such as sitting at the fountain square in town and having to find 'something good' about every passerby.

After leaving China, his quests to study at the fountainheads of the world's ideas took him twice around the globe, into the remotest places.

In the 1950's, he married, had three young sons, and besides his writing, he became the proprietor of his father's small bakery and restaurant in Birmingham.

By 1952 he had been called once again to war. When he returned from his Korean duty, he went back to his family and the restaurant and bakery business. During the 50’s he wrote his first book titled Two Plus Two Equals Reality. He soon drew folks from all walks of life and from all parts of the world came to see him. He wrote and taught about what he called "a new way of understanding."

By 1968 he had written and published his most noted book A Guide To Awareness and Tranquillity and completed its companion book The Awareness of Self-Discovery in 1970. His books are filled with personal stories telling us how he put his insights to the test, showing us exactly how we can live and prove these precepts in our own lives.
