To God there is no idea or possibility of limitation ; no sensuous appetite or desire; hence, dear brother __________ you are not limited, environed by, nor subject to any seeming appetite or desire for liquor, nor to the belief that you are. You cannot express anything real that does not represent Being; therefore, you are free in Truth at this time; nothing binds nor limits you.

Thou art, O God, pronouncing him good and very good, free and whole, for thou dost contain him at this time in Thy limitless Being and Love.

Dear Brother, listen to the voice of God speaking within you, saying, "You do not slumber in sense delusion ; there is no sense delusion. You are not limited or controlled by desire. In truth you control desire. You have dominion over it. You do hear and understand My words of supreme freedom. You are free to witness My presence working in you. Listen, and understand what I say to you : liquor is neither the life, intelligence, substance, power nor peace for which you are seeking. It cannot give you strength, success, health, or satisfaction ; nor can it prove to be a 'source and cause of happiness to you. You do not believe that you desire or need it ; you know that it supplies no want ; you know that you are immortal and are eternal life with Ale. You are in no way dependent upon liquor for health, strength, success or happiness. I, alone, am the source of all that you need. Your body is now radiant, strong and healthy with My presence. There is no darkness within you. You now understand that what I say to you is Truth. I am your Life, love, truth, substance and peace, and you are filled with perfect satisfaction at this time. Behold! thou art made whole." Amen!

DIVINE SCIENCE AND HEALING: QUESTIONS BY BEGINNERS.

Q. What thought shall I hold to secure success?

A. If you want to succeed, then practice success. The way to practice success is to act as if you were success itself. Have no fear, doubt not. Love and faith are power and substance. Go forth fully equipped with them.

To illustrate, when you want to buy something, buy it as if you could afford to do so and believe you can. Do not feel afraid to spend the last dollar in hand—all of God's dollars are ours equally. On the other hand do not feel afraid to lay up money for certain purposes, or to wisely invest it that you may receive an income. Do not feel afraid that people will say you are not "in Truth" if you do. Attend strictly to your business, regardless of what others think or practice, and be not swerved by opinions and beliefs. “I am the way of success”, is for everyone to know and demonstrate. You need not hold any thought, but be what God is—Conscious Law, Power and Success. Affirm in every act,” I am success”.

Give and ye shall receive ; receive and ye shall be able to give. First receive spiritually—accept what God has given you. Do as did Jesus when he said, "All mine are thine and all thine are mine."[1] This means, to have nothing but what is God's, and that all that is His is yours. Accept this as a practical working basis, and then do not claim any more for yourself than you do for anyone else, and justice will be meted to you as you deal justly with others.

Q. I have studied under a number of teachers of the "New Thought," and have always been led to think that these higher truths should not be used on so low a plane as material prosperity, or business success. It was taught that we have a right to expect health and spiritual prosperity, but that it is wrong to use the Truth to further our financial interests.

I have gathered from the teaching that you not only approve of using Truth for prosperity, but teach that we may use science to promote material prosperity. Is this right? Is it according to the Bible?

A. If Truth is not to be used and made the basis for prosperity on this plane of existence, then there is nothing that can be used and made the basis of our dealings with each, other but error. As long as we hold that there is both material and spiritual prosperity, we will hold one in Truth and the other in error, which is a dual theory not found in unity. The moment we hold Truth for both they are seen to be one even as Truth is a unit.

If it is wrong to use the Truth to further our financial interests, it is certainly right to set Truth aside and use error. They who have been thus instructed in the New Thought have not been taught unity of action and result, hence it is possible for them to suppose that Truth could be used for the well being of some, and to the detriment of others, but this is not possible.

One who reads the Bible and does not see that prosperity is God's law, does not read attentively, and all he needs to do to realize that God is His own success, is simply to behold the Truth of the visible universe spread abroad before us. Since God is successful, and is infinite, man's success is to be found within Him, hence it is written, "No good thing will be withheld from them that walk uprightly."[ Psalms 84:11] "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."[ Psalm 92:12]

"Turn not to the right hand nor to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest."[ Joshua 1:7] And Jesus said: "It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."[ Luke 12.32] Surely success must be a good thing, rightly understood, and being a good thing it is Godly; so I would say: "First seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added."[ Matthew 6:33] In the Kingdom of God and His righteousness there is food, raiment and shelter for all.

The belief of inequality and want has come about through misunderstanding of God's law, and through the belief that we are not to use the Truth in our every day walks of Life. Let us no longer hold our business in separation from God. Unity within is expressed in outward co-operation.

There is no error in Principle. There is no error in the solution of Principle.

There is no error in the example of the solution of Principle.

There is no possibility of error in God, the Creator.

There is no error expressed in the image of God, the Creator.

There is no error in the symbol of the image of God, the Creator.

Principle is eternal and infinite perfection.

The solution of the principle of the eternal and infinite perfection is eternally perfect.

The example of the perfect solution of Eternal and Infinite Perfection is always the work perfected.

God, the Creator, is Eternal and Infinite Perfection.

The image of God, the Creator, is eternally perfect.

The symbol of the image of God, the Creator, is always the work perfected.

There is no possibility of error in God's idea.

There is no error imaged in the ideal expression of God's idea.

There is no error in the spoken word or symbol of the ideal image of God's idea.

The attributes or Inherencies of God's idea are perfectly expressed in the image of His idea the son, and the symbol of the image of His idea or son, is witnessed in earth, in perfected form, word and deed.

All is good. All is perfect. God's ways are just and right.

“He is our peace who hath made both One, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition ; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, * * for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.” The recognition and affirmation of the above truths have slain within us the belief of enmity for each and all ; for we have witnessed the perfect reconciliation of both the ideal and material creation to God by the cross.         Science is freedom and health.

My realization was beyond all question that all form was a thought in my Mind.

There could be no expression without an Expressor, no unfoldment without an Unfolder, no existence without Being, no creation without a Creator, no demonstration without a Demonstrator, and no effect without a Cause. A visible form could not be without the Invisible Presence of The One who formed it. There cannot be a thought without a Thinker, a word spoken without a Speaker, a deed done without a Doer, or an act without an Actor.

Love is a verb, it is an action.

The Song of Prayer uses the analogy of climbing a ladder. It doesn’t matter where other people are, you should only be concerned with yourself. “J” didn’t come down down to the level of the disciples. He tried to open their awareness of his level.

We are not vibrational beings having a human experience, then the body would be real. We are BE-ings living the dream. Is not light just a vibration.

Anything can be reframed. I remember walking across the U of T campus years ago with Catherine and JC to get Ice Cream cones on one hot Sunday afternoon. They were wearing Bikinis. We passed two elderly ladies and one of them remarked “Hussies” as we passed. They were a little perturbed but I put my hands on both their shoulders and announced I was the luckiest guy in T.O. to be walking with two “Hussies”.

Prayer is a ladder reaching up to Heaven. At the top there is a transformation much like your own, for prayer is part of you.

 

We often develop skills we don’t appreciate at the time. My dad built a cottage in the late 50’s and I used to frequent stores during the week planning and filling the trunk with what my project was for the next weekend. We do things for the love of doing them, otherwise we lose sight of our objectivity. And when we do it from love everything just pops into place. My dad and grandfather had cleared brush to build the cottage which was just north of Peterborough. The water was crystal clear and we used lake water to boil water on a Coleman stove for hot dogs while putting bottles of Coke and Orange Crush in the lake to cool them off to have something to drink. 

“Love is a verb, it is an action. You must do things for others, listen to them, be there for them. It’s not about what happens in return but what you do to love them.” (Stephen Covey)

If any of you know anything about hockey, you know that the player who retaliates is the most likely to go to the penalty box. Treating love as a verb does not create love as a noun, but it may create love as a verb right back toward you.

If you love your health, you must actively love your health by eating right, exercising, and making good choices.
Your relationship with work will reflect how actively you’ve been loving it. You can even extend this active love to your friendships, family, hobbies, community, and any other major part of your life as well.
Don’t worry about how you haven’t been given your due. Love what you do. Love is an action verb. When you do something for someone do it for love, not out of guilt, resentment or due to coercion but because you want to. The moment you feel under-appreciated you lose sight of that goal.

Sit by yourself often and mentally deny that any evil can have power over you or any material conditions hinder you. Above all, use the fifth universal denial. Then you will never be deceived by anybody.

The Fifth Universal Denial.

Sit by yourself often and mentally deny that any evil can have power over you or any material conditions hinder you. Above all, use the fifth universal denial. Then you will never be deceived by anybody. This is it: "There is no sin, sickness, or death in Spirit and in Truth."
