“Listen,–perhaps you catch a hint of an ancient state not quite forgotten; dim, perhaps, and yet not altogether unfamiliar, like a song whose name is long forgotten, and the circumstances in which you heard completely unremembered. Not the whole song has stayed with you, but just a little wisp of melody, attached not to a person or a place or anything particular. But you remember, from just this little part, how lovely was the song, how wonderful the setting where you heard it, and how you loved those who were there and listened with you.” ACIM Ch.21.I.6
“Who can be born again in Christ but him who has forgiven everyone he sees or thinks of or imagines? Who could be set free while he imprisons anyone? A jailer is not free, for he is bound together with his prisoner. He must be sure that he does not escape, and so he spends his time in keeping watch on him. The bars that limit him become the world in which his jailer lives, along with him. And it is on his freedom that the way to liberty depends for both of them.” ACIM Lesson 192.8
ACiM - Text Chapter Thirty - The New Beginning - Section 4 - Beyond All Idols
"Christ's vision is the bridge between the worlds.
And in its power can you safely trust
to carry you from this world
into one made holy by forgiveness.
Things which seem quite solid here
are merely shadows there;
transparent, faintly seen, at times forgot,
and never able to obscure the light
that shines beyond them.
This is the Holy Spirit's single gift;
the treasure house to which you can
appeal with perfect certainty for all the things
that can contribute to your happiness.
All are laid here already.
All can be received but for the asking.
Here the door is never locked,
and no one is denied his least request
or his most urgent need.
There is no sickness not already healed,
no lack unsatisfied,
no need unmet within
this golden treasury of Christ."ACIM Lesson 159 Excerpts
