How to Know When You Have Truth

That's easy. If you have been healed, whether of physical afflictions or mental disturbance or domestic in harmony or business perplexities, or worry, doubt, fear or anything, all is well.

One person gets his healing from a Christian Scientist. Another gets his healing from a Psychologist and someone else gets his healing from another mental practitioner, but if you are healed, there can be nothing but truth in that particular mental science which you have taken hold of--for you!

(Rev.) David Van Bush (1882–1959), prolific author of inspirational verse and popular psychology manuals, many of them revised by Lovecraft (Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890–1937)*).

In early summer 1922, the two met at a conference that Bush gave in Cambridge, Massachusetts. On June 14, Lovecraft wrote a letter to Anne Tillery Renshaw where he left a very clear opinion about Bush.

"David V. Bush's short and stocky about 45 years, her face pale, bald and very limited in the dressing taste. It can be said that currently has an immense fortune - polite, affable, successful and smiling -. This has to be to convince people to let him live after reading his poetry. His speech is very cordial and close and even seems to believe it himself. In fact, its success is not a joke in terms of your finances: with their acrobatics and psychological quackery, their "theobalizados" books of verse [Regarding Theobald, one of the pseudonyms that Lovecraft used] and his newly founded journal " Mind Power Plus "is augmented his fortune daily.
