The Radiant I AM

In 1887, encouraged by her sister, Alethea B(rooks) Small, Nona Brooks attended classes taught by Katherine (Kate) Quiner Bingham (1849 - 1913), a student of Emma Curtis Hopkins. This was the same year that Malinda Cramer started taking classes with Emma Curtis Hopkins. While attending these classes, Brooks "found herself healed of a persistent throat infection" and shortly thereafter Brooks and Small began to heal others.  Bingham had gone to Chicago to seek help for an illness and had been cured by Mabel MacCoy, another student of Emma Curtis Hopkins. The third sister, Fannie B(rooks) James, also studied under Mabel MacCoy. It was in 1898 that Nona Brooks first studied with Cramer.

Married  in Clinton, Missouri, on March 29, 1881, and the newlyweds Charles and Myrtle Fillmore moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where Charles established a real estate business with Charles Small, the brother-in-law of Nona Lovell Brooks, who was later to found the Church of Divine Science. Charles Small was married to her sister Alethea Brooks Small.

The Fillmore’s, Charles and Myrtle had moved from Pueblo, Colorado to Kansas City, Missouri in 1884 after the birth of their first two sons. Charles Fillmore had been a business associate of Althea Brooks Small’s husband at the Pueblo, Colorado. It was in 1886 that Myrtle started her healing process which she described in her notes and letters. A personal experience, it’s best be described as an orginal form of “parts therapy”. By Myrtle healing herself she taught others how. During Quimby's time Consumption was the name for TB.
