Spiritual Exercise

Subud  is an international spiritual movement that began in Indonesia in the 1920s as a movement founded by Muhammad Subuh Sumohadiwidjojo. The central practice of Subud is the latihan kejiwaan (literally "spiritual exercise" or "training of the spirit" or simply 'the latihan'.

"Heal thyself and then teach others to heal".

Emma Curtis Hopkins said there are three ways that people could heal:

June Thoughts: James Allen

The incentive to self-sacrificing labor does not reside in any theory about the universe, but in the spirit of love and compassion.
The painful consequences of all self-seeking must be met and passed through.
Man is the maker of happiness and misery.

To injure another is to injure yourself.

Positive Negative News consists of facts and communications that are true but human beings don’t want them to be true. It may be a negative fact that you are weak and burden other people, but your knowledge of that negative fact is positive. When you are no longer a burden to anyone else, no one else can be a burden to you. VLH

Who am I / Where did I come from / Where am I going ?

Forethinker

The ancients believed that the name Prometheus derived from the Greek pro (before) + manthano (intelligence) and the agent suffix -eus, thus meaning "Forethinker".

Mankind is asleep, living in a desolate world.

"A man and a woman met one night at a party. They introduced themselves, each supplying their reasons for attending the party. The man smiled and asked her, 'Are you looking for a nice man?'
'I think,' she sighed, 'I'm looking for myself.'
That honest woman expressed a deep yearning to find her true nature. Millions of other human beings on earth are looking for the same thing. That is wisely placing first things first. When you really know who you are, you know all else necessary for a complete life."
VH

When man shall learn that thoughts and opinions have an effect and that what he says to his neighbor he is responsible for, just as a person is who speaks against the government, he then is responsible to the laws. When man learns this, he will be careful what he says and how he sows the seeds of disease in healthy minds, as those persons who have sown the seeds of secession in the minds of the loyal. The New Thought of Man, the Larger Thought of God.

Disease is due to false reasoning, so health is due to knowledge of the truth. To remove disease permanently, it is necessary to know the cause, the error which led to it. “The explanation is the cure.” To know the truth about life is therefore the sovereign remedy for all ills. The truth Jesus came to declare. PPQ

“All ice is water, but not all water is ice. The life in you is God - life, the wisdom in you is God - intelligence, the love in you is God - love. You are a child of God, an expression of God – so there can be nothing of you that is not innately of God.” Butterworth Unity A Quest For Truth

What matters is how events are construed (interpreted).

George Kelly's theory, called constructive alternativism, involves the notion that, even though there is only one true reality, it is always experienced from one or another perspective or "alternative construction". Since there are an infinite number of different alternative constructions or perspectives we may take on the world, we are always free to change to a different one if our current one is not doing such a good job helping us adapt or get what we want.

Frustration, anger, or hopelessness is a red flag that you've moved away from Spirit.

Think carefully about what you claim and match it to your life conditions, your interest and happiness. VH

You must learn some one thing well.

"A teacher told his pupils, 'A man who really knows the answers has no need for confirmation from others. Give up the false pleasure of having others agree with your pet beliefs.'"- VH
You have but to be a faithful witness, a faithful Awareness, and in fact, you are this already, without effort, because Awareness is God's activity, God's own knowledge of Itself, Reality's Awareness of being what It is. William Samuel

The Yellow Kid

The Yellow Kid was the name of a lead comic strip character that ran from 1895 to 1898 in Joseph Pulitzer's New York World, and later William Randolph Hearst's New York Journal. Created and drawn by Richard F. Outcault in the comic strip Hogan's Alley (and later under other names as well), it was one of the first Sunday supplement comic strips in an American newspaper, although its graphical layout had already been thoroughly established in political and other, purely-for-entertainment cartoons.

Timeline Therapy and A Course in Miracle.

Tad James and his wife have some good videos on YouTube of TimeLine Therapy. They mention pretty wild stuff, Karma, the Akashic records, and seeing mommy and some other wild stuff. I love couples that demonstrate rapport  and complement one another when they work together.
But, Timelines in connection with ACIM is a misnomer since time is linear to the ego and ACIM deals with NOW.

There is never a moment when Spirit is not guiding you.

The truly religious mind dwells far above human doctrines and arguments and sentimentalities. VH

The Four (4) Questions of Cartesian Logic and Cognitive Dissonance.

Cognitive Dissonance. is a psychological phenomenon which refers to the discomfort felt at a discrepancy between what you already know or believe, and new information or interpretation.
One often experiences strong dissonance when one believes something about oneself and then behaves in a way that is contrary to that belief. For example, if I believe I am good but do something bad, then the discomfort I feel as a result is cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is a very powerful motivator which will often lead people to change one or other of the conflicting attitude/belief or behavior. The discomfort often feels like a tension between the two opposing thoughts.

The thoughts you hold are mighty, and illusions are as strong in their effects as is the truth.

"You can have an unnatural future, which will go along with jolts and bumps and shrieks and will always unfold with pain, or you can have a natural future, which is very easy and very quiet, doesn’t have to worry about anything in tomorrow or next year. Never has to worry over anything for the next hundred years or five hundred years. It never worries about any type of the future from one second to a billion years from now.

Now, I’ve set before you two choices, and you have a choice. You can choose an unnatural future and suffer from it. You can choose what is natural and just enjoy life because you're enjoying who you are authentically are. Now, you can go about it one of two ways too. And if you're going about it the wrong way, if you're choosing what is unnatural, now is your chance to switch things, to change things." VH

To Be Punished or Polished...

That is the Question
How many of you find yourself crashing against the rock of life as you navigate the sea of life? How many of you are sinking and struggling in the water, gasping and getting mad at the ocean?
Now, it can be reasonably assumed that we are going to have thousands and thousands of more experiences in this life, so doesn’t it make easy sense, perfect sense to find out everything we can about the boat itself and about the sea and about sailing conditions, about the weather?
Wouldn’t it be the mark of intelligence to say I’m going to learn all about myself, the boat and the sea which is life in order to avoid the rocks and be able to handle the storms, so that I am stronger than the storm? Now you are not stronger than the storm, the storms are stronger than you. Even a little ten mile an hour wind can upset you, throw you off course, make you clutch the wheel and wonder whether you are going to get through it or not.
Wisdom and knowledge both together can improve our navigational skills. VH

Think outside the box!

Come up hither and realize that there is only ONE. As I look at you I do not speak to the dress you wear, for I know that at the end of your day, that garment that you are wearing will drop into a hamper and you will be left standing. In just the same way, I do not speak to your outer form-body and assume that that is YOU. At the end of ‘your day’ of thinking you are a human being, in the day of the Lord, you will drop that form-body as your identity and the True You will still be standing, still aware, still conscious, and alive as Life Itself, and you will still be here.
