Krishnamurti

Jiddu Krishnamurti was a well-known writer and speaker on fundamental philosophical and spiritual subjects.

Charles Webster (C.W.) Leadbetter of the Theosophical Society discovered Jiddu Krishnamurti, on the private beach in 1909 that formed part of the Theosophical headquarters in Adyar, India. In 1922 Leadbeater, now in Australia, had a young woman student, clairvoyant Dora van Gelder Kunz, who in the 1970s also worked with Delores Krieger to develop the healing modality of Therapeutic Touch.

We have all had symbols. The Christian world is filled with symbols. ... the same in India, only they don't call themselves Christians but it is exactly the same thing, or in the Far East, and so on. ...

What is our consciousness? To be conscious of, to be aware of what is going on not only outside but also inside. …

Is it always wrong and misguided to work with an enlightened man? How do you know he is enlightened? How do you know? ...

Are there different paths? The speaker has said 60 years ago, truth is a pathless land. … Path means gradual arrival, and you can take your time. …

Your task is not to seek for love,

but merely to seek and find all of the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. It is not necessary to seek for what is true but it is necessary to seek for what is false. Every illusion is one of fear, whatever form it takes. And the attempt to escape from one illusion into another must fail. If you seek love outside yourself you can be certain that you perceive hatred within, and are afraid of it. Yet peace will never come from the illusion of love, but only from its reality. - A Course in Miracles.( CH16,IV,6)

If you experience peace, it is because the truth HAS come to you. And you will see the outcome truly, for deception cannot prevail against you. And you will recognize the outcome, because you are at peace. A Course in Miracles.(CH17,VI,5.6-5.7)

The Question and Answer Service of FACIM

I was reading about Helen Schucman last night and this morning at http://www.miraclestudies.net/ and found this website
(The Question and Answer Service of the Foundation for A Course in Miracles .):

http://www.facimoutreach.org/qa/indextoquestions.htm

It has a comprehensive list of answers to questions. I looked up these:
Q #1123: I have difficulty seeing any connection between teachings about chakra systems, channeling and many other "truths" in New Age books, and the teachings I find in A Course in Miracles . How come?

Q #1160: Where does the Course stand in regard to the ideas of twinflame, soul mate, and karmic relationships? Are those concepts true, or do they really just add to the belief of separation among brothers and special relationships?

Q #320: What does A Course in Miracles teach about having a Soul Mate? Is this considered a special relationship?

Q #822: I saw the new movie, “What the Bleep Do You Know?”. I found it very powerfully presented, and I was struck by how much it sounded like A Course in Miracles' teachings. Please give your comments.

40,000 people in Mexico City locked lips for 10 seconds yesterday to set a record. Wimps. I'd just be getting started.

ACIM

ACIM is a self-study course.
It is not a new religion and there is no church involved.
It's not teaching you to run out and save the world, it's teaching you a new way of looking at the world.
It is a spiritual path that focuses on forgiveness and peace.

Commitment:

Although it's not always easy,
it's part of loving someone unconditionally.

It's a promise that should last a lifetime.
It describes you as a person and
describes the essence of your soul.

It's a promise to be there,
one for the other.

No matter what happens,
no matter who falls.

For better or for worse.
For better
or
for worse.

FriFeb13

Today is the day everyone rides their hogs to Port Dover. Their poor little feet.

I read last night about someone who had a stroke some years back. Just before he was knocked out in surgery a doctor leaned over, put a hand on either side of their face and said "No matter what anyone says to you, no matter who they are, I am telling you, you can make a full recovery".

A few days later someone said "You've had a stroke, the stroke will paralyze you for the rest of your life.". They remembered what the doctor had said in surgery. They started by wiggling one toe, then the other , then some feeling in a leg, then more, then even more. Every day was aimed at some small improvement over the previous day.

Beware of the prophets of dooms. There are documented cases of spontaneous remission where people make a full recovery. Doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, your relatives and your friends are not psychic.

I'm glad he didn't listen. Richard Bandler went on to write "A Guide to trance-Formation" and "Get The Life You Want" which I'm reading.

Both the text and "Manual For Teachers" in ACIM address healing. (Which isn`t to suggest that studying the course will lead to healing the physical only that it explains disease.).

If a relationship isn't built on two people becoming healthier together, happier together, building good memories, and building a good life together, then one partner drains the life out of the other, one way or another.”. Read that in Richard Bandlers' book “Get the Life You Want” . It reminded me of this from D. Patrick Millers' book “Understanding A Course in Miracles” : “Rather than a couple joining to raise their status in the world, it would be about two people joining in an inner transformation, in which they become more healthy, whole, loving, and kindly inwardly, and thus become a benefit to others around them. That's probably the common essence of any goal two people can join in for a holy purpose.”.

Begin each day with the prayer:
"Help me to perform whatever miracles you want of me today."
Whether it's the smile you give a stranger or the joke you crack to the clerk or cashier to make them smile.
The love you take. Is equal to. The love you make.

There are two types of time lines (From Richard Bandler: "Get The Life You Want".)

In Time:

  • The past is behind, the future is in front.
  • You don't remember the past or not often.
Through Time:
  • The past is on your left, the future is on your right.
  • You remember past events and are pretty punctual.
That blew me away. My poor mother. A husband and 3 sons In Time while she and I were moving Through Time. Next time I show up on time to pick someone up and they're not ready I'll know why.

The Nag Hammadi Library ( http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/nhlcodex.html ) has: the Gospel Of Truth, the Gospel Of Thomas and the Gospel of Philip. Having read the Gospel of Thomas; the Gospel of Philip reminded me of it.
I read Elaine Pagels book “Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas” years ago. In a nutshell anything not in the Bible was ordered destroyed. So they hid all the manuscripts from the great library in Egypt. They expand on it rather than hinder it's understanding. It was democratic. Anyone that didn't go along with them was dropped off on a deserted island. I thought that was rather amusing.

Ken Wapnick used the phrase “Some of the ancient Gnostic texts have Jesus speak about how he is "regaining himself," or "rejoining with himself," how he is "collecting all the fragments and reuniting them within himself." ”. Try http://www.gnosis.org/library/valentinus/index.html

  • The Greatest Treasures of Nag Hammadi
  • An Introduction to The Gospel of Judas
  • Altered States Ancient and Modern (it says Tennyson used the phrase “the individuality of self fades away”, he chanted his own name over and over to calm his mind; Richard Bandler(who says to quiet your mind think "shut up, shut up, shut up") refers to Altered States in his work too, but it's using the power of the mind to overcome things; these are forms of meditation, the state where all thought ceases)
  • and others
Akhenaten (often also spelled Echnaton, Akhnaton, or rarely Ikhnaton) introduced monotheism, the belief that only one god exists, in Egypt represented by Aten (or Aton) . Did his family use Mandrake to reach altered states of consciousness? (Lecture 4 above). Monotheism set the stage for Moses. Did you know Gypsy is derived from Egyptian?

GET THE LIFE YOU WANT

by Richard Bandler. One of the co-founders of NLP. His last book was "Guide to TRANCE-formation". This book is a guide to behaviour and how to change it. You can see him on you tube too.
Now, to be fair, you need to see John Grinder ,the other co-founder, on this YouTube or here.

Dying at home.

Why not.

But eventually you'll need to consider

  • extra support staff
  • overnight staff
  • can you get a nurse from 5PM until 8AM
  • hospital bed?
  • medications
  • emergency oxygen in case of power outage
  • commode?/diapers/pull ups
  • garbage
  • which family members you can rely on
  • Doctors accessibility
  • a palliative care specialist
  • Hospice Volunteers

And those are just a few. Ultimately, it depends on your individual requirements. Just be aware people will do exactly what they are prepared to do. Some will whine because they can't/aren't willing to do more. That's just the way it is. That's not a judgement thing. They just can't do it for some reason. Even though at some level they may wish they could. Could you?

Valentines Day

Ever go south and see people fall apart as soon as they meet someone in a foreign country.
You don't even have to go that far. I had a dance partner that met someone from the states. She decided against staying there, wouldn't move because of the kids. Big scene on the plane when he was dragged off, he boarded to stop her from leaving. Unresolved past life business? You never know. Interestingly enough, besides swapping stories and the fact her dad built log cabins, she also met her and her ex's ex-lawyer at the dance class and approached her with a legal problem her ex saddled her with. There are no coincidences.

.
My definition of cold feet is standing in slush realizing someone isn't going to show. Maybe the lady can tell me about it someday. You know when going to the bull fights wasn't such a good idea when you ask for a sign and a woman walks through the lobby in a wedding dress. But, life is a dream. We thank those who touched our hearts if only for a week. My mother died 6 or 7 weeks after that. At least I had something positive to focus on during that time even if it never came true.

In these days of no regrets
I’ll keep mine to myself
And all the things we never said
I can say to someone else
Cause nothing lasts forever, but we always try
And I still can’t help but wonder why
We let it pass us by
I don't really believe in Twin Souls or Soul Mates. If you study A Course in Miracles and have read Ken Wapnicks material on THE METAPHYSICS OF SEPARATION AND FORGIVENESS (and maybe read Patrick Millers book "Understanding A Course in Miracles". then this should make perfect sense:
The dream of the "perfect partner" is an attempt to find EXTERNAL integration, while retaining conflicting needs in the self.(Urtext,CH1)
And it puts a new spin on a "Holy relationship".
As long as you remember ALWAYS that you never suffered anything because of anything that anyone ELSE did, past memories are not dangerous.(Urtext,CH1)

Relax, it's only a ghost.

Yesterday a friend emailed me: "There is one in this building where my new office is. Last night she turned the radio on in the waiting room when person_K and person_L were here at the practice and person_K could hear someone in the laser room but we were the only ones in the building. Some nights I've heard voices as if they are coming from upstairs but I’m alone here. Right now I’m hearing a female voice very softly. Can’t make out what she is saying but she’s talking in the distance.

Person_T said it’s a female spirit who lived her four owners ago and is very happy that the building is full of women. She said she is harmless, sweet and gentle but it’s a little freaky to say the least when you actually hear her and you’re alone in the building.".

My response was:
"
If you see her and hear her but can touch her then you're not nuts.

If you see her and hear her but can't touch her then you're nuts and it's been nice knowing you...

Boo!

Relax, it's only a ghost.

".

"Relax, It's Only a Ghost" is the name of a book I read years ago. Try it as a scrolling screen saver.

The RED quote at the bottom of my Blog comes from one of the stories in "Hot Chocolate For the Mystical Lover" another interesting book.
